“Went there for an evening meal WOW superb meal from the starter to desert definitely worth checking out not rushed and for month of Feb 20% off! Staff helpful as have certain allergies they knew there food and what allergies (hard to find in some restaurants as staff do not know) great Credit to the staff and now open in the evenings. Will I be back definitely for possible breakfast but evening meal well worth it!”

Fresh and delicious food prepared with lots of care, we tried most of the vegetarian items on the menu and loved them all - Tortelloni Al Funghi was an absolute knockout. If in doubt between other restaurants and this one when in Borehamwood, don't think twice.”

“I had a fantastic breakfast here with family on the Easter bank holiday Monday. The café was fairly busy but service was prompt and the staff were friendly. The food was great - I had the "Hangover" breakfast - and there was just so much of it. I rarely visit Borehamwood but if I return I will be back for another breakfast.”

From the quality and tastes of everything was outstanding, my SUSHI CHICKEN ROLL , SASHIMI SALMON , SUSHI PLATTER might have been the best meal I have ever been served. “A couple of weeks ago, I entered these premises and met a lovely lady called Jenny. So I introduced myself and purchased some items. I returned yesterday and the place was buzzing. Nick the owner is a man who is the most natural business owner, proud of his bakery, items for sale, lovely staff and a wicked sense of humour. I felt welcome so we had a quick chats in between sales about future events and their catering service. I met the Rabbi and some happy children. Had a coffee and with music in the background, felt at home. Left with a big smile on my face, tasty coffee, tea and bags full of delicious cakes bagels. Jenny and Nick, thank you for being you! “A pleasant surprise and break from the mediocrity of the local restaurants. Expensive (although visited during eat out to help out scheme) but with great food, you should definitely check Balagan out. I ordered a schnitzel meal, which came accompanied by chips and salad. The schnitzel was crispy and tasty albeit a little on the small side, but the chips were incredible. Super soft and wonderfully unprocessed, these were by far the best chips I’ve had in a while. Salad was good as well, and the Oreo milkshake was decent for a Parve option. Shawarma was also great as well as falafel, and the pita that came with the meal was really great and authentic, you could definitely tell it had been grilled a little. Staff were quick to check up on us and ensure the meal was fine, and it was nice sitting outside. Great experience overall.”
