“My wife and I regularly come here and have got to know the managment and staff. The atmosphere is welcoming the staff are professional and the food is delicious. The chefs know their craft and it shows. A good restraunt for gluten Free diets as they have an entire menu dedicated to it. Special mention to the manager Aleksandra who always makes us feel welcome when we visit.”

“Had a really lovely lunch here yesterday, the new fit out is beautifully done, with a lovely Bar & Garden area, along with a nice relaxed dining area. The new menu is delicious we had a quick lunch with my friend having the Fish Finger Sandwich & I had a perfectly cooked Wagyu Bavette. “Really really really nice chicken and rib combo. Had the garlic and her dough balls to start also and they were nice. Was disappointed with the apple crumble as there wasn't much apple, and the crumble was a bit well done. Lovely outdoor seating area at both front and back. Little booth/huts which have heaters and plastic zip down covers also. Will definitely return! Had the same main meal again today and still great! Service was a bit slow but was quite busy.”

“Amazing place. Great vibes and very "upper class but still a pub vibe". Very nice staff and delicious food. It's tucked away from most places and we went during the dark so didn't get to see much of the outside. It did have an amazing seating area out the front we didn't get to try because in typical british fashion it was torrential rain, however it looked lovely! Would recommend for those looking for a nice pub tucked away.”

“We booked a meal for 40 of us after getting married in Leatherhead earlier that day. We could not have had a better time or service from the team at the Penny Black - the communication with the manager ahead of time was helpful and quick, we were able to drop cakes and decorations etc off in the morning and the pre-ordered drinks were ready for our arrival. The team on that day were friendly and available for whatever we needed. HUGE thank you to the kitchen team who managed to get out 40 pre-ordered meals at the same time and all hot. This is not just your average pub - 5* 10/10 recommendation. The manager on shift that day said they didn't really do bigger groups or weddings that often but if you are reading this and looking to book a party or bigger group event in Leatherhead - Penny Black is where you need to go.”

“Beautiful, bright, airy pub/restaurant. Lots of seating inside and outside. Wheelchair access. Great selection of food and drinks. Sunday roast was particularly yummy! Staff were great, very attentive. The only one criticism would be that the food could have been a little hotter. All in all we had a wonderful 1st time experience.”
