Green Island Fish and Chips
“I habe to give this place 5 stars, as their fish and chips are always on the level. Never too oily or fish of the strange small size! It's run by the same lady and is open only from 12 to 14 and 16 to 19, always fresh. Chips are not made of frozen potatoes. Cash only.”
Seaworld fish bar
“Absolutely lovely fish and chips. Cooked to perfection. Service was great, served by a polite and friendly young man. Good price. Would definitely recommend”
The Rose and Crown
“Nice cozy ambience, lovely staff and amazing pub grub. Fish and Chips and Stilton Burger were both a clear 9/10. Highly recommended.”
The Red Lion
“Having just finished a 10 mile walk, i was famished. This place was a gem i found by accident. My friend and i asked if they had a table as the place was rammed. The very efficient lady in charge was able to squeeze us in if we promised to be done in an hour as the table was reserved. Food looked gorgeous but i just opted for a snack which was dirty fries with beef and cheese”
Sea Master
“Great crispy and thick batter on the fish. Both chips and fish are very fresh. Chips are properly triple fried. The only place i would go for fish n chip in tge WD3 area. Its won awards. A favorite for a Friday night family meal.”
The Fox & Hounds
“Owner always greet you and friendly, quiet enviroment during day and busy at night. Thai food served here as Joy of Thai restaurant. Good Thai foods and reasonably cheap with portion you can share if you are not that hungry. Lunch served at noon at bar area and evening at top floor separated with bar which busy every evening. During COVID the area set a giant tippy in the garden.”
The Boot
“Delicious dirty burger has it all...loaded with bacon, Stilton, mushrooms, tomatoes, lettuce, gherkin, onion rings, hunk of juicy meat, freshly made slaw and fat chips. Great service and beers! This place was a wonderful find, to sit in the autumnal sun.”
The Cock Inn at Sarratt
“Lovely walk followed by lunch at this pub - very good value and very large servings.”
The Cricketers
“I've been coming to The Cricketers for years. It remains one of my favourite pubs to visit. Great atmosphere, great food, and great folks making it all come together. Just celebrated a birthday there and couldn't be happier at the lovely experience of being in the pub.”
The Corner Plaice
“Best fish n chips by a long shot. Fresh fried, non greasy, the batter was flavoursome and crispy. Tartar sauce that perfect tang. Service with a smile by a lovely guy. Parking out front is handy too.”
The Red House
“Really enjoyed my time here! Came in for a quick drink and a meal while visiting the area! Food was tasty, drinks had a familiar selection and the staff were really friendly. Highly recommend.”
