Peng Kitchen at Wanstead Golf club
● Open“This is my third time ordering from Peng Kitchen and every time the food has been exceptional. I look out for consistency when ordering food and so far I can say it has been delicious each time. I’ve ordered a variety of food such as the Mac and cheese, vegan platter, fish cakes (my fave) and the plantain. They were all flavoured well and the platter is well worth your money - even had leftovers each time. My friend ordered the jerk chicken and said that it was moist and well seasoned - which is exactly what you want from jerk chicken. Thank you for the delicious food and looking forward to trying new things when I order next! The staff are also really friendly and the packaging is great which is always handy when ordering a large amount of food. Tried the homemade sorrel as well - and woiii brought me back to my island!!”

Bellucci
● Closed“What a wonderful place! We came here a few minutes before the closing time. Despite the late hour we were able to order pizza to go. I had one of the specialties - pizza with burrata cheese and pistacchios. So delicious. Definitely recommended for those who search for a small taste of Italy ❤️”

ChoJo
● Open“A real hidden gem. I don't usually write reviews but they had the sweetest little restaurant. Every single item was done delicately and purposefully and they had the best service, really sweet. I felt really welcome and happy and food was one of the best oriental foods I've had in London, with simple presentation to help focus on the flavour. And to top it off they surprised my gf with special dessert for her bday. Love it!”

Good Taste
● Closed209 Streatham Road, Mitcham CR4 2AJ, United Kingdom“Best Chinese around! I moved to Tooting a couple of years ago and had been trying to find a good Chinese until I found this place. It doesn't deliver but well worth the 30 minute round walk because the food is so good. Fresher, tastier and miles better value than anything on Uber Eats or Deliveroo. And they are always extremely friendly. Highly recommend!”

Noble Palace
● Closed“I love this place for cocktails! Yes it is pricey and it is more for special occasions than an everyday place to go to. The decor is awesome, the staff is beyond polite and welcoming, well done. Their concept of cocktails menu is very intriguing, you choose an emotion from their book and they prepare the cocktail for you. Went twice and both times the drinks were original and very good.”

(The owner even gave me extra fresh chilies because he read me very well) And extra ⭐️ for the owner! He is a very friendly person and he recommended us some restaurants for Dim Sum and Asian grocery store for spices! And ooops I didn’t take any pictures of the food for reference. I was really enjoying the food!”

Chow Chow Oriental Restaurant
● Closed6 New Broadway, Hampton Hill, Hampton TW12 1JG, United Kingdom“Great food. Not heavy like normal Chinese, with sticky gunky sauces. Here the sauces are light and fresh. In fact at Chow Chow"s their food is very light and far from being heavy. Great for quick lunches.”

Spice Station
● Closed435 Bushey Mill Lane, Bushey WD23 2AN, United Kingdom“Ordered a take away for family and friends last Friday. The food was delicious: lovely vegetarian/paneer dish, tasty side dishes (not overcooked as can often be the case) and a tender lamb bhuna for my wife. Peshwari naans were soft and puffy. We also got a discount for picking up our order. Will definitely get our Indian/Bengali food here in the future.”

OKA Barnes
● Open“I reached out to OKA to help me with a special request putting together a custom sushi "cake" for my partner's birthday. To say the least, I was not disappointed (see pictures!!). The staff were extremely attentive and I got to speak to the chef directly to discuss the ingredients and decorations of the cake. They even added extra details like gold leaf and floral decorations! The cake was delivered at a specified time to our doorstep with sushi condiments and a sparkler candle included. My partner and I are very impressed with the service and attention to detail. Thank you so much to all the staff that helped make this happen!”

Charcoal Edgware
● Open“Mmmm shashlik! Tender, spicy but not hot spicy......make your mouth water spicy. Charcoal chicken wings. Not the skinny flappy bit but,the shoulder and bicep. A tiny sprinkle of fresh lemon juice drizzled into the munchable, tender chicken. The starter dip things.... FANTASTIC Turkish naan. Light and fluffy with a good outside crunch, dipped into fresh proper humus. A garlicy yoghurt dip thing. Grilled onion quarters in a pomegranate sauce. A fresh and tangy salad with tomatoes, cos lettuce, cucumber, onion. Often Turkish salads that I've had have just been sprinkled with vinegar which, can make them slightly bland. Not so Charcoal's salad dressing. Imagine a charcoaled meat selection served on a bed of rice with a chips border and a sort of thin, round flatbread covering to keep the aroma and heat contained. Lamb shish in very small, succulent cubes on wooden skewers. The charcoal chicken wings, shashlik, thin strips of doner.thick, tender lamb chunks. Add a glass of Turkish red wine (or three). Maybe some Turkish tea with something sweet for those of us who like the slightest perspiration invoked by overeating. Yes, they do takeaway. Yes they have all sorts of fizzy drinks. But, they are not your usual Turkish takeaway. This place is well worth a sit-down for an hour or so and serious, professional eating. Opposite Lidl so maybe, if you do some shopping in Lidl - you could park there. Personally, I think it's worth taking the Northern line and walking from Edgware statation. A couple of outside tables for those that need a quick cigarette or an afternoon cup of coffee and a baklava. I was introduced by a friend who is Turkish and himself a retired restaurateur. In the 20 plus years I have known him - he has always steered me to places that are good quality and not overpriced. This isn't a place with fancy carpets and bow tie waiters. It's like a mum n dad place who care and concentrate on flavour.”

Penang Satay House
● Closed9 Turnpike Lane, London N8 0EP, United Kingdom“Fantastic service, brilliant food, and lovely people. Our family have been coming here for years, and I highly recommend visiting Satay House. I recommend lobak, crispy tofu, any of the beautiful yellow curries (the prawn is my favourite), and crispy noodles too from the mains. The gadoh-gadoh in peanut sauce, chicken satay and spring rolls satay are fantastic too from the starters.”

The dessert was to die for, we also try the pear one (on the house what it was really nice detail) and we still prefer the pannacotta. I highly recommend the place and go for the tasting menu. Great value for the quality and presentation of the food”
