Family nights in Sidcup

“Under new ownership the last few weeks, and now the food is fresh and really high quality, the batter has a lovely crunch and the cod really light and fresh. Cash only at the mo, but the owner said once it gets busy he will start accepting card. Very friendly owner. Let's hope the standard stays as high as it is at the moment. Will be back.”

“I went here a couple of days ago and took the risk after all the bad reviews(only 1 time risk). But now maybe it has changed owners and it's better now? As it looked like only 1 chinese guy was working there who spoke perfect English and I didn't see anyone else in sight. But anyways what i ordered was delicious which was roast duck with bbq sauce on egg fried rice.”

“I am still wondering how is possible that komakai can deliver such an outstanding quality being a take away sushi business. Yes, you read correctly. We all know that sushi is not cheap. We also know that it is pretty hard to find a trustable sushi bar/restaurant. In London or where ever... I know about fish quality because my parents are fishmongers in Barcelona (enough said). And when you think your found one pretty acceptable then the bill arrives to the table and the price do not match with the quality delivered. That has been my main surprise with komakai. If you had this sushi served in a restaurant, the bill will be over £200 for 2 people’s dinner. Yes, £200! Please don’t take my advice for granted. Give it a go and you will be as pleasantly surprised as me. If you are lucky enough to live in south east London (or making a big enough order and further delivery can be considered) try Komakai. “What a delightful discovery. I visited Sidcup taking my son for his second jab and when he was done we popped round the corner for a bite to eat. We wondered passed a couple of cafes and noticed there seemed to be a bit of a bustle in this beautifully decorated establishment, so figured we'd see what it was all about. Pushed into the door and was immediately met by a vibe that lifted our spirits. Very welcoming and friendly staff soon guided us to an available table and presented us with menus. The menus were sturdy and well laid out. The variety was impressive. I wish a took a picture. Even though I was up for a fried breakfast there was something about the menu that made me feel like I was eating well. There was an enjoyable chatter going on in the place the whole time, it was clear the patrons were regulars and if I lived near this place I'm sure I would become one too. I can't praise this place enough.”

“Wow, wow, wow! I am on a search to find the best Turkish food, kebabs and grilled meat in the UK. This as absolutely 100% 10 out of 10. The cuts, flavours and seasoning of their meat were amazing and cooked so beautifully well. Well done Elfida Restaurant, you did yourselves proud!”

“I eat out every day. So I know quality over quantity. This little Italian restaurant always delivers high quality food and an experience. Only criticism I would have never known it’s there. I literally went in there by accident to try something new and I loved the food so much I haven’t stopped going back. I’ve eaten at this place for a good few years now. I’m really surprised it’s not full to capacity every single day. It’s a small family owned Italian with delicious food and the service is 10/10.”

“We stopped here for a spot of dinner and we were very impressed. The restaurant was very quiet but it was early evening, and we were greeted with a warm welcome. The food was good and value for money. There are alcoholic and soft drinks available and an extensive menu The restaurant is clean and modern and the staff Very friendly and helpful.”

“Great classic Chinese takeaway-a little family run gem in Sidcup. We’ve been coming here for years and the food quality is consistently good and amazing value. Excellent Chinese style curry and Singaporean Rice vermicelli our favourites. Pancake rolls are hand-made which means we’ll happily wait for delivery but if busy go and collect!”

“Yum!! Such a delicious Chinese takeaway. We ordered a fairly large selection and it was all so so lovely. The ribs in bbq sauce and the crispy aromatic duck were highlights! Definitely reccomend!!”

“Great looking pub. Helpful staff on shift as well. I popped along to look at the quality of the bar following a referb for a project I am working on and was impressed. Good selection of drinks and nicely presented and played out. Will pop back for a few drinks ks sometime soon”

“Great Wetherspoons pub. Compact and friendly. Good value food and drink. Staff helpful and welcoming, we stayed further along the road at the Travelodge so this place was ideal for a night cap, then breakfast in the mornings. Spotlessly clean first thing in the morning! (Credit to your cleaner! ) Good place to visit. Good breakfasts too, enjoyed.”

“Great family pub which I have now been going to for the past four years. Since the pub had new owners the food has improved 100%. The staff are warm and welcoming and don't rush you,and if they have time will spend more time chatting to you. Part of the pub goes back to the 17th century with log or coal fire place.Lovely and cosy in winter or Christmas time.plus there are no games or music machines. Great for going with friends and family for a quite get togethers.They now have a wonderful outside sitting and eating area, which was beautiful during last summer heatwave.”
