Family dining experience in Loughton

“We been to team Xmas dinner and teams hospitality is 5 star .... They have arranged tables before we come and every item servered is fresh, hot and testaty. It is not possible to appricate whole group, but all our group of 23 members enjoyed the food and hospitality. We strongly recomand to our friends.”

“writing this as i eat it, firstly the staff was incredible kind and helpful with what to pick etc, and after watching them make the food and others (very carefully and with care!) i had high hopes. It certainly delivered as the food tastes exceptionally fresh and good. I don’t usually write reviews but after seeing the somewhat negative reviews i had to write my own as i am genuinely very pleased after eating here. please give this a try!”

“The best place for toasted sandwiches with dietary requirements! They offered a meal deal with a drink which in my case was a Peach nectar and everything was delicious! I would definitely recommend to anyone and would go back again! P.S. The added bonus is the owner of the cafe produces her own aromatic coffee beans which are making the best creamy espresso I've seen in this country!”

“What a gem! The seafood was divine - whether it's a pit stop from cycling or walking or you drive to go here specifically, it won't disappoint! The curried, mango prawns were incredible - I can't stop thinking about them!”

“Took me a while to try this place because I'm usually a believer of Jack of all trades, master of none. But this place is really good at it all. Fried chicken on point. Pizzas better than dominoes. Indian food fresh, hot and plentiful. Deliver fast enough, both times quicker than time given. Can pay cash, card or PayPal with no fees and free delivery. Are fair and have given me more chicken or more wings because they said they were quite small which is awesome. It's my new go to takeaway. Keep it up!”

“Wonderful time here. Food was on point , bought a combo meal which was 18 quid. Which is two main courses. And 2 sides. The oxtail was amazing and tender. And stew its in was well put together. The jerk chicken was great aswell although I wasn't keen on the sauce. Guiness punch was lovely too.staff were great and ill definable be back”

“Considering our current situation and how careful we have to be, the experience was pleasant and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. I have no hesitation in recommending Kings Oak to any grumbling belly. Safe to say, we're happy to return anytime.”

“First visit and wasn't disappointed. Nice place to have a cuppa and something to eat in a beautiful forest setting. Went with a group of motorcyclists from Norfolk and really enjoyed looking at the variety of bikes that were there. Obviously a popular meeting place. Tea and bacon roll were good and the service friendly.”

“Been using Onami for years. Great food at a great price. Good Sushi isn't cheap, but i always find Onami very reasonable. Big Fans of their Futomaki and the Tempura veg. Keep up the great work guys! Five stars.”

“I just had dinner here and I am very impressed. The food was delicious, everything was just perfect. I have absolutely nothing to say that could be better. I had 3 different starters as main main meal and that's quite a lot food. My friend had shish kebab which I tried and the meat just melted in my mouth. Very tender! In addition,they bring big plate with variety of salads, olives, yoghurt and dill dip and some tomato dip with home made pita bread to every table. The restaurant itself looked also very stylish. Seems they pay attention to every detail, including the business cards which were very stylish too. The restaurant was full with people who seemed to be regulars there, therefore,it speaks about the quality of the food. I live in central London and that's long way to go there for dinner, however, I would gladly return soon.”

“The Carpenters Arms is a great pub that dates back to the old style beer houses. There's no other pub in Loughton that possesses that kind of style. It has more than ample outdoor seating for the present times during government regulations but to be inside the Carpenters Arms is something to look forward to. It has such a great character inside that most pubs do not possess. Well worth a visit.”

“As an all day eatery I think they've got this place absolutely spon-on. Please don't change a thing! Very attentive service. Plenty of polite (well-trained) staff, no waiting, taken to the table. Table service impeccable. Hugely impressed. Piping hot food (and coffee) came quickly, fresh and with good quality ingredients, the breakfast was plentiful and was cooked to perfection. Eggs although "fried" on the menu were more like a beautifully steamed - almost poached egg consistency. Gorgeous. Hell, they even open the door for you on the way out. I'll definitely be coming back.”
