Evening meals with friends in Sidcup

“Went in late Dec for a meal with my wife. The ambience is quite in your face so if you like a quiet restaurant, maybe here is not for you but they play nice music and it's not so loud you can't talk. Food portions are huge, which we appreciated! Ordered the shared platter for two with a lovely bottle of Greek wine. Waiters were pleasant enough. It's not fancy but it is honest, solid food (and a ton of it), with a robust party atmosphere! It's not cheap but it's also not expensive either. I'd go back.”

“I went here a couple of days ago and took the risk after all the bad reviews(only 1 time risk). But now maybe it has changed owners and it's better now? As it looked like only 1 chinese guy was working there who spoke perfect English and I didn't see anyone else in sight. But anyways what i ordered was delicious which was roast duck with bbq sauce on egg fried rice.”

“I am still wondering how is possible that komakai can deliver such an outstanding quality being a take away sushi business. Yes, you read correctly. We all know that sushi is not cheap. We also know that it is pretty hard to find a trustable sushi bar/restaurant. In London or where ever... I know about fish quality because my parents are fishmongers in Barcelona (enough said). And when you think your found one pretty acceptable then the bill arrives to the table and the price do not match with the quality delivered. That has been my main surprise with komakai. If you had this sushi served in a restaurant, the bill will be over £200 for 2 people’s dinner. Yes, £200! Please don’t take my advice for granted. Give it a go and you will be as pleasantly surprised as me. If you are lucky enough to live in south east London (or making a big enough order and further delivery can be considered) try Komakai. Check the pics in Instagram (komakaisushilondon) they speak by them self. Check my pics taken at home. Even my cat (Neo) realised about it! Bon appetite!!”

“Had an amazing family meal at Cacio e Pepe early Saturday evening on 31/07/21. Staff are extremely friendly and attentive. The food could not be faulted. In fact, the only fault I could possibly find would be that the starter portions are FAR too generous. We will certainly be sharing starters on our next visit. Very varied menu and everything we had was cooked spot on. Cannot comment on the deserts as we were far too full to even look at the desert menu. All in all a fantastic and authentic Italian restaurant to have on your doorstep.”

“Wow, wow, wow! I am on a search to find the best Turkish food, kebabs and grilled meat in the UK. This as absolutely 100% 10 out of 10. The cuts, flavours and seasoning of their meat were amazing and cooked so beautifully well. Well done Elfida Restaurant, you did yourselves proud!”

“Quality grub, Cod was very generous in size and chips were very delicious. Definitely try the cod and they do surprisingly good grilled burgers! Also southern fried chicken with chip shop chips is awesome!”

“I love this pub, I like to pop in after work during the week for a couple of pints and some wings and it's perfect for that. The wings were lovely and came out pretty quickly and the pints were cold and very reasonably priced. The staff were super friendly too I couldn't fault my visits recently”

“Really nice little restaurant. Street parking available around the area. Was a bit apprehensive at first, as they were selling both, Chinese and Japanese cuisine, as we had gone there predominantly for sushi. Needless to say, the food was GREAT!!! The guy that served our table was brilliant. Friendly, attentive, and always at hand. Definitely on my list of favourite restaurants!”

“Best Indian I’ve ever had. No doubt. Very friendly staff and excellent service. They have at least 8 chefs in the kitchen and 6-7 staff waiting tables, so it’s very well run restaurant. I’ll definitely be coming again. Delicious - Balti Jalfreezi, Lamb Kattamita, Lamb Roygan Josh, Onion Bhaji. Some minor adjustments/personal criticisms - Bombay potatoes could do with some more spice and flavour, more coconut with the pashwaari naan, more attention given to size of onions in the balti and the freshness of those onions (some had hard texture)”

“It's my one-stop station to fuel up everything for a journey. The station has a very generous space indoor and outdoor. Staffs are very friendly and efficient. The 3 Costa vending machines helps deal with the busy period. Easy excess to A2.”

“Yum!! Such a delicious Chinese takeaway. We ordered a fairly large selection and it was all so so lovely. The ribs in bbq sauce and the crispy aromatic duck were highlights! Definitely reccomend!!”

“One of the Nice Pub I have encountered in a while, Staff is Polite and their service is also fast on Regular Day but if you will come here at Sunday there's always a rush and 1 hour waiting time on food which is mind blowing but I can understand when it's a rush it's a rush otherwise their service is fast”

“Great family pub which I have now been going to for the past four years. Since the pub had new owners the food has improved 100%. The staff are warm and welcoming and don't rush you,and if they have time will spend more time chatting to you. Part of the pub goes back to the 17th century with log or coal fire place.Lovely and cosy in winter or Christmas time.plus there are no games or music machines. Great for going with friends and family for a quite get togethers.They now have a wonderful outside sitting and eating area, which was beautiful during last summer heatwave.”
