“Our daughter joined Sutton High in Year 7 and is very happy there. She came from a wonderful state primary school (which she loved, and we loved), so the bar had been set very high, but we have nothing but praise for the school. Our perception of the new head is that she is fantastic; hugely energetic, invested, communicative and very present, with a great vision for the school. Her staff are passionate about their roles as educators, are very approachable and really know their pupils and how to support and progress them. The school takes the students’ health and wellbeing very seriously, and the girls know that there is network of support available to them, should they need it. Academically, they have high expectations of the girls, and encourage them to work to the very best of THEIR ability. And this is where I think Sutton High perhaps differs from other schools in the area. Our daughter got a place at the local grammar school, but in the end, we chose to send her to Sutton High. Financially, it was a very big decision (especially as we have two daughters!), but my husband posed the question, ‘Where do you think she will thrive more?’, and my instinctive answer was Sutton High. The variety of opportunities in terms of sport, art, music, drama, STEM, trips etc are great and wide-ranging, and offer the chance for your daughter to find something that they really love and are good at. That’s a real bonus for the self-esteem when navigating the occasionally rocky path of teenager-hood! Overall, as our daughter trots happily down to the station each morning, looking ahead to a school day filled with lovely friends, ‘kind teachers and amazing food’ (her words!) and lots of interesting learning opportunities, we feel we made the right decision.”

“Lovely cafe, wide range of food to order from along with hot beverages, out door seating aswell if have dogs they welcome too food was spot on chicken kebabs with mixed salad and rice was delicious, staff super friendly service top notch great all round cafe definitly will be back.”

“My wife and I visited Cheam Cottage for the first time today, and it's a fantastic place! I had the Thai fried rice with chicken (delicious) and my wife went for the Korean chicken wings with salt and pepper chips (also delicious). The portion size is generous and the lady running the place was very friendly and accommodating. We will most definitely be back!”

“I loved the atmosphere. Hunters style, comfy seats. Woow the food is awesome. We had Steak and cheese platter, tried various deserts. Outstanding is the word. I would recommend and rate it 11/10. “I absolutely love Fledglings Day Nursery. The minute we made contact I felt really looked after. The support of the staff is incredible. Everybody went out of their way with communication, looking after both my children, activities, nappy changes, snacks, development, milestones. Fledglings is everything that I could ask for in a nursery. As a parent its worrying handing our children over but I could honestly get on with my job without wondering if my children were ok. They were genuinely looked after. My older 2 went there and my youngest will be attending soon. Highly recommended!”

“Came here to watch one of our granddaughters who plays for Carshalton ladies ( 8 years) and was acting as a mascot for today's game against Herne bay.Special mention for Andy on the gate who found car space for us as my wife is disabled and in a wheelchair .And also to lady behind bar who changed water in my wifes hot water bottle. She needs this as she has severe back problems.Lovely people there. Shame it wasn't a win for Carshalton.”
