Kateys Nursery & Pre-School Ham - Ofsted Outstanding in All Areas
● Closed“Both my daughters have been to Katey's House in Ham - I can't recommend this nursery highly enough. It's such a wonderful place for the little ones to thrive. It's in a lovely setting with access to lots of green space; the kids learn about all sorts of fascinating things and even grow their own food and bake their own bread every Friday. The staff are both professional and warm with the children and give you every confidence in their level of care. The preparation for "big school" is also excellent - with an adorable graduation ceremony and lots of talking to prepare them for the milestone. In short, so much effort goes into making the children feel loved and happy, and both my daughters have thrived there.”

Marble Hill Playcentres
● Open“My kids (3.5 and 2 years old) love going to the One O’Clock Club (for kids 0-5 years). It is now open till 5pm, giving more time to play after napping. The Playground is very safe - no swings or big slides or high climbing. And there are great play-workers there playing with the kids and doing all sorts of activities. That means I can relax and enjoy a cup of coffee!!! And yes - there is great coffee there now as well!! The kids can play inside and outside, so a great place to come rain or shine. Our favorite so far has been the big sand pit with a parasol over it. There is also a brilliant Adventure Playground for over 5s, where the kids play independently and the parents are not allowed. You can go in together on the family days (first Saturday of every month) with the younger ones as well. My daughter absolutely loved it! Disclaimer: I am one of the trustees of the charity that operates the playcentres. So you can see I am very excited about it :)) Come and try yourself!!! And feel free to ask any questions.”

Mandarin Ducklings Nursery
● Closed“How lucky we were to find this amazing nursery. My boys started here just before their 2nd birthday and have absolutely thrived under the care of all the wonderful staff here. Not only have they helped my boys grow into wonderful, caring, inquisitive and very healthy 4 year olds they have given them an amazing educational grounding ready to start their school journey in the next few months. They both have a wonderful grasp of phonics, a deep love of numbers, can write their own names, sing numerous songs in mandarin and have truly developed a love of nature. I'm frequently being told what is and isn't 'good for the planet'. The nursery setting couldn't be more delightful, right in the middle of Marble Hill park, which essentially becomes their extended playground on daily visits out. I can't recommend this place highly enough.”

I am now a governor at St Edmund's and am impressed every single time I attend the school for visits or meetings, at the absolute passion that all school staff have to ensure that every single child makes excellent progress and learns lifelong skills. I can't recommend this school highly enough, I am proud of my children and what they have achieved and give a good part of the credit for this to St Edmund's.”

Windham Nursery School
● Closed“Windham is my son’s first nursery, prior to Windham we only attended Montessori lessons. I knew that this nursery had the outstanding Ofsted rating, but I was still really worried how my son would adapt as he was used to being at home with a baby-sitter while I was working from home. We moved to England from a different country and his English wasn’t good enough to express himself well. Teachers at Windham surrounded my son with such warmth, attention and care that he became almost fluent in English in 2 months time! (sounds incredible, but that’s the reality). They created a customised timeline board for him to make sure he could always indicate whether he was hungry, wanted a drink and made sure he never felt lost. The selection of activities at Windham throughout a term was impressive as well: they invited farms with different animals and kids could feed them from the bottles themselves. Kids observed how caterpillars turned into butterflies etc. During the international days, there was an incredible event with African drums orchestrated by an instructor (a very charismatic man in a national suit). Each child had a drum, the entire group of kids was practicing together. Bravo to the entire Windham team, you exceed the best expectations!”
