European Bank for Reconstruction and Development
● Closed“10 years I’ve been seeing this art but never get bored, It’s absolutely beautiful. If you ever have the pleasure of visiting EBRD take your time and go and see the painting. It’s not open to the public so you have to be invited or visiting somebody at the bank.”

City Relay
● Closed“The apartment I rented was in an incredible location, next to St. Mary Le Bon Church and down the street from St. Paul's Cathedral - not to mention a short walk from Shakespeare's Globe Theatre. The staff, particularly Akim, was particularly helpful when I had difficulty getting the door locking app to work during the self check-in. The next time I visit London, I will start my search for a place to stay with City Relay.”

Lidl
● Closed“Lovely new store. Shelves full of some known brands alongside some foreign brands. Prices are really cheap and great value for money. Instore bakery is really well stocked and has little veg pizzas which tasted really lovely. Easy to navigate around the store. Pushchair friendly. Clear signs for all the aisles. Not a big range of bread when I visited but the prices are really good. Less than 50p for a large loaf. Will buy one to try next time I’m there. They have loads of tills but only one or two open. I used the self check out which was really easy. Will visiting a few times a week I think to get some fantastic bargains. Not a lot of veg options in the freezer section. Only one type of veg burger that I don’t like. Loads of ice creams and desserts. The entrance is down the side and there is parking available in an underground car park. 55 spaces I think.”

TCL Reuse Centre
● Closed“Visited the centre on the 10.05.22 and the Scottish guy who was putting out the furniture went over and above his way to help me. Hunted around the store and stockroom for sourcing an item and was very polite despite this being close to closing time. A credit to the centre! Will happily come here again.”

Budgens
● Closed“Nice a local Budgens store, with everything you need, including a new Costa coffee self service machine (£2.40 medium, £2.70 large) coffee latte. The rest products is obviously slightly overpriced, taking the point this is a local village store, with an organic milk being £1.60 for a 2 pint, and 4 pint non organic milk for £2.49 (comparing Ocado is £1.89 for 4 pint organic milk) Nice staff, including non English lady, which is looks very unusual for this area, however highly appreciated.”

World Expeditions
● Closed“The ancient landscape and special spiritual places of the Larapinta Trail were mesmerising. The 6 day itinerary covered all the highlights and having three camps allowed maximum walking time. Nice to have the alternate long and short days and I learned a lot from the Standley Chasm cultural talk. The guides had said ‘take your time’, ‘be in the moment’ and that’s how I like to walk. They were so patient with me hanging at the back of the group taking photos and soaking it all in! Thanks so much for your care and professionalism Ruth, Claire and Peter. Met some lovely people too!”

The Totteridge Academy
● Closed“I am choosing to write these reviews since I need to emphasise that this school is not what it was before United Learning came in. Where else are you going to find a headteacher that remembers everybody's names, where the year 11s are going for sixth form, and what the kids' interests are? Mr Fairbairn has drastically improved this school by simply deciding to be an active headteacher, not giving kids excuses to do nothing, and ensuring everyone is learning. External cover teachers were rare during my time there. Mr Fairbairn even covered my physics class while they attempted to find a new physics teacher for my GCSE class. I joined in year 10. During my first GCSE art class, he took the time out to come up to me, greet me, talk to me about why I chose TTA, and even asked how my brother, who had left for sixth form at the time, was. This is just Mr Fairbairn. I won't even go on about the rest of the staff with how supportive, how caring, and how professional they all are. You have teachers like Mrs Palmer who has been at the school for decades and still has an absolute love for teaching and drive to inspire. There's a misconception that the school is a hotpot for crime and where all the misbehaved kids go, but trust me, this is not tolerated by the staff and is not true in the slightest. Thank you for supporting me, TTA.”

ALDI
● Closed“I love an Aldi and have been missing its presence since the Marketplace branch closed last year - this is a great replacement! Spacious and clean with ample parking and newer more energy-efficient chillers. I visited in the second week of opening and the store was still some way off being fully stocked, but had plenty to offer despite this. An easier shopping experience than braving the huge car parks and queues at nearby Tesco or Asda, and far cleaner and quieter than the local Lidl branch.”
-
