Dilpasand Express Restaurant
● Closed“The food is consistently excellent, the staff are always friendly and attentive and restaurant is clean and professional. I have lived in Tooting for 20 years and this is by far my favourite curry house and it's in Steatham! The Lamb karahi is the best I've had (excluding my Pakistani grandmother's) and the chicken wings are sensational. Just go here and thank me later!”

Paratha Inn
● Closed“Had an absolutely lovely experience at Paratha Inn when I visited in 2021. I am planning to return soon when I am in the area. The Parathas were lovely and the ambience of the restaurant was great. I loved the food immensely and my kids loved the food as well. The portion sizes of the Parathas was quite big too. Definitely visit this place.”

Spice Hill
● Closed79A Gipsy Hill, London SE19 1QL, United Kingdom“Outstanding food and rare honesty! We ordered some delicious food from Spice Hill and I accidentally gave the driver an extra 20 pound note. I only know this as the man called an hour later to let us know, and he then dropped off the money the next day. Top man, and top class curry as well. Order now!”

L'Italiana
● Closed“We wanted to celebrate our son’s 21st birthday with an Italian meal in an authentic and intimate setting and L’Italiana is the perfect restaurant. The food is amazing - great choices, very tasty and generous portions. Lovely atmosphere and staff are very friendly and helpful with great service. The mussels were full of flavour, and the starter on the Special - crab and prawn bruschetta - was delicious. For mains, two of us ordered the Veal Milanese and Pollo Milanese which are our favourites - we asked if we could change the sauce to bolognese with the spaghetti, which was no problem at all - we were not disappointed. All our meals were so delicious - the food exceeded our expectations. We ordered garlic bread which we couldn’t finish as we were so full so asked if we could take it home, which the waitress was happy to pack for us. I would definitely recommend this restaurant - the food is to die for with a lovely intimate and authentic atmosphere and genuine, friendly staff.”

The Italian Job
● Closed“My girlfriend and I recently visited the Italian Job Pub in Hackney Wick and were thoroughly impressed! From the moment we walked in, the warm atmosphere and cheerful staff made us feel right at home. The pizzas we ordered were amazing and met the highest Italian standards. They were cooked perfectly! The wine was a delightful complement to the meal and the craft beer was a refreshing change of pace. What a nice selection, by the way. In conclusion, if you're looking for a fun, relaxed atmosphere, delicious food and drinks, this Italian pub in London is the place to be. Can't wait to go back!”

Angler
● Closed“We had the tasting menu, with wine pairings, which I can't recommend highly enough! It was our first visit to a Michelin restaurant, and all the staff made us feel at home quickly. The pace of dinner was great; with seven courses, we were left looking forward to the next course while never feeling overly full, but left not wanting more. One of the surprising highlights was the bread and butter! The caramelised yeast and malt butter was stunning. The wines offered a lovely selection of white pairings. The wine pairings were a great way to explore some wines for my guests, with there being a varied selection of tasting profiles. The atmosphere was quiet for a Friday night in London. There were never more than five tables on at any one time.”

The kitchen is completely open so you can see your meal being cooked while you wait. Most importantly the food is excellent quality with generous portions. This is my new favourite Chinese takeaway. Many thanks to the Chow team.”

Lots of choice drinks and still reasonably priced compared to the others only for minutes away on the high road. I ate thee and was served by a super efficient barman/ waiter. Bricklayers Arms
● Closed“Wonderful service, prompt with a smile, and really nice options on the menu. We ended up here somewhat by accident after the Grufalo trial and booked a table purely based on reviews. Although it was about 15 minutes away I'd say it was worth the drive. We had the double stacked friend chicken burger, pear and walnut salad, ribs for starter and the meringue which was a perfect summer dessert. Good vegetarian options as well. They cater well for outside bookings and are also well setup post Covid. Lovely pub, lovely people in a lovely area.”
-
Folded Pizza
● Closed“Squares of thin-base sourdough pizza with varying toppings - including a vegan option - for £4.50, served 'Folded' like a wrap. It's easy to confuse this with a Calzone (traditional folded pizza), but that's more like a pasty in appearance. Really tasty crust - thin, chewy and crispy at the same time. The salami was plentiful and great quality. For the price, it's a convenient way to get top quality pizza on the go. Cheap priced coffee drinks are available - the cappuccino (£2.80) was edible without being remarkable in any way. Well worth checking out this place - I think it'll be very successful. Edit - I'm very frustrated that this place offers no way to tip the staff; z even Starbucks has a tips jar, which offers them a way to supplement their low wages. The owner could do this with minimal effort, and it would make a big difference to them. I hope he reads this and takes appropriate action.”

-
AVN Pizza Halal
● Closed“We ate in as a treat for my daughter’s birthday. Good speedy service. Food tasted great. Ate what we could and packed the rest in the pizza boxes for later. Would recommend anyone to visit. Music was a little loud but I should have just asked for it to be lowered. I mentioned it as we were leaving and got the impression the colleague/ manager? would have lowered without fuss. Very happy daughter. With the opening offers would have been cheaper to collect and take away but daughter wanted to eat in. Worth the extra.”
