Ethelred Nursery School and Children’s Centre
● Closed“We have two boys. Our eldest attended the nursery last year and "graduated" this year. Now is our youngest's turn...The building is very new and modern, always very clean and tidy with very good facilities. What does make it stand out though, I think are its people and we couldn't ask for more from a nursery; Very friendly, honest, family-like staff , yet extremely professional with always clear communication with us parents. We have seen our kids learning and developing every day and you can actually see the difference; they are more sociable, more responsible, and are building their personality day by day. We never heard them complaint and not want to go to school. Our younger son was always difficult to keep happy and entertain, yet somehow the ETHELRED teaching staff have managed to get him engaged and involved in so many activities now. Our eldest is outperforming at the reception this year and always getting praised for his good behaviour, his thirst for knowledge and his creative mind I am very convinced that this is thanks to the extremely good foundations he managed to build during his time at the Ethelred.”

Cuddly Bear Day Care Nursery- Sydenham Hill
● Closed“Our 9 month old daughter goes to cuddly bear and she absolutely loves it. The staff are very professional- they did a special weaning menu for my daughter as she started when she was 6 months. This really helped to develop her tastes to different foods. They did a great job at protecting children during the rise of covid infections and have a very strict covid policy. The garden space is beautiful and although it may look rather small from the outside, the space inside is vast. I love the food menu - so much variety that its almost impossible to give your child all that nutrition from home. What I found great was that, my child is always seeing familiar faces and generally tends to have the same child minder. Overall, great place - its 2 doors from us so super convenient. The Sydenham hill branch is in a residential area so its in a quiet surrounding.”

Wimbledon Day Nursery
● Closed“I want to offer our huge thanks to Emma and the team at Wimbledon Day nursery. Both of our kids attended from the ages of ~1 to 4 and we always felt that the children’s care, health, happiness and development were the top priorities for the nursery team. Emma has a talent for picking a great team of kind, knowledgeable people with unlimited patience and our kids loved going to nursery (and their care workers). I was always amazed at the variety of things they got up to and glad for the mess they got to make away from home! So this is a public thanks to the whole team and a strong endorsement to any others considering sending their kids! All the best, the Hattie Family”

Playdays Nursery
● Closed“My son has been attending Playdays Nursery since a baby and absolutely loves it! When I first visited Playdays, I immediately felt their welcoming environment for children and parents making us feel at home. Their learning method focused on each child and in the moment brings an individual approach and allows children to develop according with their interests and at their own pace. There is also a great parental involvement, so there is a combined work between the nursery and parents in supporting their children. In terms of activities, it is very diverse and enriching and their weekly trips to a forest school is definitely a plus! It was definitely a great choice for our son, and it gave him a strong solid foundation to embark on his school journey. We strongly recommend Playdays!!”

They were so great with him, applied for additional funding, learnt Makaton and helped get him get an EHCP for primary school. My daughter now attends and she is super happy there. They have a wonderful Forest School 3 times a week which my children really enjoyed and they have a lovely bright airy room to play in and access to large cricket field. The staff are really wonderful, caring and playful. My kids have thrived here. The Manager is a Former Head Teacher so there is a lovely gentle educational slant to their play. Honestly, best pre-school/nursery for miles!”

Montessori by Busy Bees South Lambeth Wandsworth
● Closed“My baby is really happy at this nursery, although it’s her first time. She bonded quickly with her key person and baby room staff. She learns many things every day. I chose this nursery because the staff, including the manager is really loving, caring, friendly and welcoming, they have a huge garden, and they have a chef who is making food every day from scratch, and is serving fruits instead of desserts / sweets, which was so important for me. They also cater to food allergies or intolerances. The nursery is refurbished almost completely now and looking much better than it was before. The manager is working really hard every day to make there better and better and implements her original, positive ideas. They have regular outings to local parks, the nature park, and the library which is great. They also have a Spanish music class in all rooms every Wednesday. All of these, and meals, nappies are included in the fees. Plus, they are a Montessori nursery. I am really content with the level of care, staff, activities, and facilities there.”
