Stagecoach Performing Arts Coulsdon
● Closed“Both my children have been doing Stagecoach for over 10 years and the only bad thing about it is the long holidays! They can't wait to go back. They have both had the opportunity to take part in shows that have been professional, great fun and very entertaining. They can also gain qualifications that help them with school work. However, the absolute best thing for both of them is having a group of friends that are completely separate to school. The new principal Amanda has injected a new blast of enthusiasm and the teaching is, and always has been excellent. Can't recommend enough. They will look back on this time when they are older with the fondest of memories. Thank you Stagecoach!”

Claremont High School
● Closed“As of writing this review, I'm a Year 12 student who's been in the school for almost six years, and I'm taking A-Levels in Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Computer Science and French. Thus, I feel I'm more experienced than most other reviewers to talk about the school. Firstly, let me say that this is no grammar or private school. Not everyone's parents have hundreds of thousands of pounds to send their children, and not everyone finds irrational joy in studying eight hours a day every day after school. Most people are just your average person, but for me, that's perfect. You'll get to know most of the people in your year, and perhaps in the years above and below you, too. Friendship groups form quickly and easily, and many are happy to accept other students. In the older years (Year 10 onwards), people start to socialise with others outside their friendship group, and I enjoy the social scene here. In my case, being able to talk to extremely talented people is an opportunity I wouldn't exchange for anything: I've grown attached to my friends as though they were family. And, while not everyone here is a four A*-type student, we certainly get those types: every year, we have students who get all A*s and go off to Oxford or Cambridge. If you aspire to be one of those students, don't write off Claremont just because you think you'll do better by going to another school! The teachers are also incredibly polite, for the most part. (Of course, there are teachers who the younger students would consider strict, but as you grow older, you'll see that it's just the different teaching personalities they adopt, and in reality, they aren't really that strict after all—your class were just really annoying!) They devote plenty of time and effort into ensuring every student succeeds academically and as a person. Their lessons are usually very well-planned, but their devotion to their students truly shines when one of them asks for help or discusses a topic with a teacher that they're both passionate about. This is especially helpful in the Sixth Form, where you'll often find yourself wanting to stimulate your own interest in the subject! Every week, we also hold competitions and clubs for all lower years, from sports to chess; we also have a few more unorthodox ones such as a cybersecurity/hacking club. The extracurricular scene is a bit lacking for the Sixth Form, though, but since you're allowed to leave when you don't have lessons, you probably won't need it. We have an active student body which includes a Prefect Team and a Student Voice, both of which allow students to suggest changes to improve the school. And while Claremont is by no means perfect, I thoroughly enjoy my time here, and I could not imagine having a better experience at any other school.”

Ann Langley School Of Dancing
● Open“I thoroughly enjoy my dance lessons every week. Tuition is done in an informal and friendly way. My fellow dancers are great to be with, and they all have a great sense of humour. Helpers are around to assist anyone who requires it. Ann progresses to other moves once she feels the group are ready or even modify if anyone has difficulty which is good for me. I am not a natural mover and initially had two left feet but after four years of perseverance my dancing skills are a lot better. I feel Ann has been very patient with me. What more could you want. Peter”

Masters of Ballet Academy
● OpenEast Acton Lane, London W3 7HA, United Kingdom“My daughters attend this fantastic ballet school 2-3 times per week. The teaching led by Olga Semenova & Elena Glurjidze is most excellent. The way they teach and engage their students allows our girls to learn quickly and enjoy the experience. We hope to continue attending this school for as long as possible! Strongly recommend. Update 2021 4 years has passed so quickly. Our daughters are still here and have continued to grow and develop. The school keeps on investing in their students, through performances, intensive courses, dance competitions and graded exams but to name a few ways. Our eldest is now doing 6-days per week in the pre-professionals class. Now with the addition of Resmi Malko the school is even stronger. I can’t say enough good things about the quality and high standards of this school. If you are looking for a school that teaches the Vaganova method in the UK. Look no further.”
