After trying their food, I understand why! Food was cooked to order so was fresh and hot. I recommend the rice with pork. Banh mi was also great. Could do with more tables and chairs but only because it is so busy, but for all the right reasons.”

“Decent Vietnamese restaurant! Salt and pepper shrimp was yum, and vermicelli was spot on. Beef pho had more than enough meat with well balanced soup. The ambiance was cozy and welcoming. Our server was super sweet as well.”

“I’m so glad I discovered Le Kitchen! Their food is absolutely elite and the food portions are great too! I’ve tried a number of dishes thus far and they all taste so delicious! After making my orders on Uber eats, I’ve called up the restaurant and asked that no onions/ spring onions be added to the rice dishes and they’ve been so receptive and honoured my wishes. I honestly cannot fault them. It is a bit pricier than others, but this is honestly the best Vietnamese food I’ve ever had! I would definitely recommend to all. You won’t be disappointed!”

“What a lovely, unique place! We had a massage downstairs (which was great) and found out there is also a restaurant upstairs so we decided to stay for dinner. The food they serve is amazingly good. It’s fresh-cooked Thai food (as you would find in Thailand) in an extremely unique setting. It’s all very relaxed, not really like you’re in a restaurant at all in fact. You will be sitting (or laying) on the floor to eat and they make you very comfortable! Lovely people. Thanks for having us! We will see you again.”

“Hidden gem just behind the sports bar. You can walk in and order or pick up take away. Friendly service. Food was ready in about 10mins. Very fresh summer spring rolls. Oxtail pho was nice. Broth flavoursome Noodles prepped on the spot. Nicely wrapped to take home. Got a small dessert on top for free. Will be back”

“One of the best lunch spots for a hearty and delicious satay chicken and rice! Always go for the large even though the standard portion is pretty hefty. The pickles are amazing and the rice is always perfectly cooked. I get it at least once a week and the staff are always friendly! Highly recommended!”

“Me and my friend have been here almost every day for the last couple of weeks for lunch. The food is amazing and fresh. The service and staff are lovely. We are planning to go again next Tuesday and bring some more people with us. If you are vegan they have the Tofu & Avocado banh mi which is really good. Everything we have tried has been good and that's almost the whole menu. Would highly recommend.”

“One of the best italian restaurants in London can be found in Tooting Market (and probably even better than a lot of italian restaurants in Italy!!) The food was amazing and you can taste all the super fresh ingredients perfectly cooked! I cannot wait to visit again! Pictured: - Calabrian spicy prawns in tomato served with sourdough - my ultimate favourite dish, the sauce is amazing and prawns were cooked to perfection! - Burrata with heritage tomatoes & black truffle vinaigrette - Croquettes - wild mushroom served with salsa rossa - Pumpkin Gnocchi - Vermicelli, smoked salmon, prawns and spicy capers - Slow cooked beef shin Lasagne - Affogato - Tiramisu - by far one of the best tiramisu I have had in my life and I have been to Italy a few times!”

“Regular visitor to EV - fantastically friendly staff who go above and beyond to make sure everyone is comfortable, and top notch food. The lamb steak is a firm favourite amongst the group, but we've not had a single dish we dislike. Highly recommend the spring rolls, crispy squid, and morning glory veggies, too. Excellent value - my fave Vietnamese spot in London.”

Excellent and swift service, delicious food and great value for money: we shared a starter and had 2 mains (Sichuan King Prawns with Noodles and Bun Noodle Salad) and it was less than £25. “I've seen many people walk into this place mistaking it for Chinese. Mien Tay 5 is the most authentic Vietnamese restaurant I've come across in London. They don't do all street food must the ones they do almost take me back to Saigon. The phố and bún bò Huế spicy noodle soup broth is really good along with most starters. Oh and the mango salad is so yummmmm”

“On the menu for weekend 10/11th Feb 2018: Hu Time Nam Vang - tapioca noodles in pork broth, with succulent prawns, char sui pork, pork mince garnished with spring onions coriander and Chinese chive. Really excellent a wonderful break from my usual Pho I espied Banh mi 108 about a month back walking out of the tesco opposite. It's hidden away in an an unpretentious corner with a lite lime facade and no fancy display. To be honest if you aren't looking for it toh won't know it. However something about the place is inviting and cozy, and I kind of made a mental nite to gi and explore asap. Having tried out some excellent Vietnamese meat rolls in Birmingham last year, I was looking forward to coming in and comparing. Needless to say rhe ace is exceptional. The sUmmer roles were fresh made, rolled up delicately aromatic greens, some pork and prawns. Delicioso . Follows with a steaming hot bowl if Pho, beef soup and noodles with more greens, chillies and beansprouts. The broth was light, and fresh made and delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed a great service. Will go back for more”

“Was offered prawn crackers and water as soon as we came in. Was amazed by the variety of dishes and the waitress had a lot of patience and came to the table when we were ready to order. We ordered prawn summer rolls, prawn friend wontons, Charsiu bun, chicken hue-spicy noodle soup and Bún Cá Chiên - Deep friend battered pangasius fish served on vermicelli noodles. The starters came out super fast and the fried shrimp wontons were piping hot, the summer rolls were fresh and the charsiu bun was piping hot all the way through and flavourful. I had the chicken hue-spicy noodle, had a strong enough kick to the broth, generous with the chicken strips in the soup and was provided a small tray with the lime, sliced red chilli, bean sprouts and coriander which were all added. The whole dish mixed was full of depth and flavour and the temperature of the dish was fresh and hot. Would visit again 100%”

“Great quality, simple Vietnamese food. Nothing fancy, just the basics done very well. The place looks a bit cramped from the outside but actually there’s loads of space inside. The portion sizes are generous and the staff is friendly enough. Their card machine doesn’t work half the time so make sure to carry some cash on you when you go!”

“This place is a true gem! Pad thai is my favourite dish of all time and Joy Kitchen makes the best in Orpington. Lots of veggie options which is really appreciated. The decor is nothing special but the food is really what shines through here. Have eaten in and had takeaway and enjoyed thoroughly both times.”
