The George & Dragon
● Closed“First time in. I hear the pub is under new management. I had some great food, and liked the vibe of the place, despite it being quiet. I wish the pub and landlady well, as I feel it has so much potential (due to the quirky main bar area), it just needs to find its niche. If this pub was in east London, and managed right, I imagine you'd struggle to find a seat... Can it happen in west London?”

The Bodhran
● Closed3 Vivian Avenue, London NW4 3UT, United Kingdom“The Bodhran is the cheapest pub in the area. Compared to most pubs around the area ( Like The Hendon, The Clad, The Greyhound, etc...) With two floors in the outside area where you are allowed to smoke and play card games with friends (bring your own cards of course ahah). The workers there keep the place pretty neat! You've got at least 2 TVs to watch your favourite Team playing on league night. Most people inside of the pub are older folks, but that does not mean you cannot have an amazing time with your mates. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”

The Railway
● Closed“From an old bloke's point of view this is an old fashioned pub that reminds me of some happy times of a misspent yout. Proper bar, proper seats, lovely staff, good, wholesome food. Exceptional fish'n'chips. Its right next to Streatham Common railway station and I'd thoroughly recommend it.”

Pratts and Payne
● Closed“Firstly, the venue was welcoming and kept to a high standard, with personal touches for the occasion. The food was outstanding, the presentation of the food was beautiful and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it- complements to the chef! The staff had such a warm and welcoming approach where nothing seemed too much. They joined in with the party which added a personal touch from Pratts and Paynes, making sure glasses were filled and everyone was having a great time. We couldn’t thank them enough for making the day so special. We would recommend Pratts and Paynes for any occasion!”

Richard The First
● Closed“Had a great meal here. Never been before (don't often come to Greenwich), met my eldest who had booked the table. The ambiance is really nice and the staff very friendly and helpful, it is a very welcoming place. The food was very good, I had bavette steak, my partner the stew off the specials board and my eldest the plant burger (vegan). It was all thoroughly enjoyable and we finished off with apple and pear crumble. Will definitely go back next time we are in Greenwich and would recommend to anyone else wanting good, well presented pub food.”

The Leyton Star
● Closed“I had my 25th birthday party here and it was amazing! I booked karaoke in the function room which was really reasonably priced, the manager George was extremely welcoming and everyone had a great time- my friends who joined now want to do it for their birthday! You get a lovely room to yourselves and the karaoke machine was really easy to use, had all the songs and sounded great. We were in there for 3 hours singing to our hearts content! Thank you!!”

The Black Prince
● Closed“I went to the black prince today for a family Sunday lunch. During Covid you worry about whether it's safe to go to the pubs etc. However it was clear to see that they have taken control of the situation perfectly. The tables were continuously cleaned, there were facemasks at the door in case you'd forgotten it, the toilets checked regularly and I even saw the staff check their temperature, the care taken shows that they care about the staff and their customers. The waitress knew exactly who was arriving and had a list of reserved tables the communication between her and the kitchen was brilliant. When moving around the pub you had to wear your mask but when seated with your family and eating it was fine to remove it. On arrival I was greeted by all staff members in the pub, in particular Jazeena was extremely friendly and helpful, she is certainly an asset to the pub. As mentioned above we had the Sunday lunch, between us we had the pork belly, lamb and chicken and these were all absolutely beautifully prepared, the food was delivered to the table hot and the service was efficient and effective. We were asked if we needed anything further and if we were enjoying the meal and even got a doggy bag to take home. We all left completely content. The atmosphere was pleasent and family friendly, there was a TV for the sports fans and some music playing at a reasonable level too. An ideal place to take the family. 5 stars from us. We will definitely be visiting again. Thank you very much for a pleasent afternoon.”

The Lord Herbert
● Closed47 Herbert Road, London SE18 3SZ, United Kingdom“New manager has already given this pub a lift. Friendly, clean and bright, lovely old building. During Covid, there's a simple but blinding 'substantial meal' of either a Plat du jour or a Ploughams at £4.00. Huge beer garden too, pending some tlc, but looking forward to sitting out there in the summer. I will 100% go back!”

The Blues Kitchen

We ordered the sharer rub platter and we were going to order chicken wings but the waitress was really helpful and warned us it was a lot of food, so we appreciated that. The food came quickly. It was hands down the best rib meal I've ever had! The rib was huge and so tender! The mac n cheese was so good! Even the cob that had Crab butter and Lettuce with blue cheese had so much flavour... ! Can't wait to go back!”
