ROMANIAN GROCERIES SHOP
“Everything you need for Romanian food. Fresh produce and great value for money.”
Hungarian Groceries Shop
“Small shop with lots of Hungarian goodies! The staff is always friendly and helpful. Thanks for supplying me for many years now with everything I missing from Hungary.”
Magazin Romanesc Valea Prahovei
“I'm Romanian so I'm just very happy to shop romanian foods in Watford.”
Ben's News
“I just want to say thank you to people working there, i was there today to return a Hermes package and they have been very welcoming and helpful. I was in distress because of an awfully experience at Markhouse food and wine shop, and they made my day, even if it was a small thing, for me made a big difference. The shop is little but well stocked, run by a lovely family. Thank you.”
Watford Palace Theatre
“A nice local theatre. Saw The Merchant of Venice 1936 bringing Shakespeare's play to the troubled streets of the east end facing off Oswald Moseley. An excellent cast including Tracey Ann Oberman.”
Rose Theatre
“Excellent venue. Comfortable benches. Plenty of room. Good view of the stage. Decent cafe. Went with the grandson to see Dinosaur World. Will be back to see Zog and also Room on a Broom.”
Jacksons Lane Arts Centre
“Great studios and wonderful staff. We went on a Sunday, and we wanted to get some food and were told by reception their policy is no outside food, spoke the cafe and they said as there was a lot of us and the chef had just knocked off they don't mind. Also the reception were great just told us no as it was policy not because they were being awkward”
Mycenae House
“Great place for the community to meet and have a good time. A few baby classes as well as other for people to meet as points of interest”
Whirled Cinema
“A straight 5 stars from me! A nice venue with everything I needed for my test screening. We had a great time.”
Cineworld South Ruislip
“Not too bad, staff generally are friendly and approachable. Seating is fairly comfortable with a decent view of the screen. As with any cinema, the sweets and drinks are a little pricy, especially if it is a family visit, I would suggest bring your own, they don't seem to have an issue if you do.”
Electric Cinema White City
“My first visit here, and I really enjoyed myself. First off I want to say how great the staff are, very professional and welcoming the moment I entered to the time I left. The place oozes class with its tall ceiling interior decor, the seating arrangements are perfect for couples, groups and solos. The lighting is soothing which helps you to relax into an evening, and none of the lights are bright enough to be a bother to the eye. Food and small bites are tasty. I had the sweet potato chips and also the hummus option for snacking on. They also have bar stools at the bar which are very comfy. In terms of cleanliness, its 10/10. I'd recommend this place to anyone who likes all of the above. This is definitely my kind of place.”
Cine Lumiere
“Love the art deco of this theatre and it has a real calming presence and a relaxed mood setting when entering the building. Staff was super friendly and very polite. The theatre has such an authentic french atmosphere quality about it that gives this transported feel of escapism from London wich I found to be quite liberating. The chairs was comfy and the screening and sound design of the room, made for a truly great viewing experience. A wonderful cinema for seeing movies that matter.”
Camden People's Theatre
“Very nice little theatre, a great night out with friends, pocket friendly performances.”
Markfield Park
“Went to their bonfire night and we had a lovely time. The adventure playground was spacious and clean and they had a well maintained bonfire with marshmallows to roast. My daughter and her friend had a lovely time, we will definitely go again to enjoy the space.”
Sydenham Wells Park
“One of the highlights of living in the area is this wonderful park. I go for a stroll through Wells Park regularly and it is so huge that no matter how many people there are, you still feel like there's so much space to wander. It has a separate play area for under 5's as well as a park for older children. There's also an outdoor gym, x2 Tennis courts, a Basketball court and x2 two small ponds with different species of ducks to familiarise yourself with. The park rangers take great care of the park and it is always kept tidy. There's public toilets too and sometimes there's a food truck and ice-cream van parked inside the park for all your snack needs. I highly recommend Wells Park as a hidden gem in South East London”
Camer Park Country Park
“Not local to us, found it using Google when we were in the area, but what a great find for dog walking. Highly used by dog walkers, the majority of which are off lead, so felt really comfortable letting our 2 lurcher puppies off lead too. No-one complained when they went bounding up to their dogs to play, and such a vast open area, with woodland around the edges, which our dogs love. Numerous benches and bins all around the site. Lovely little cafe hut there too for us humans to get refreshments and chat to other people. Plus free parking, what more could you ask for. Highly recommend.”
Pulcinella Pizzeria
“Went here as a group of 3 the place was nice and cosy, decorated well and a nice ambience with Italian opera music in the background. We ordered 2 pizzas and a round of drinks for a good price of £36 The pizza' themselves cooked to perfection proper Italian style base, both pizzas we had very different, but delicious in their own way. Will make the trip back to this west London wonder.”
Peking Palace
“Always a Reliable Choice. We've been using this Chinese Takeaway for many years and never had a disappointing meal. Quick & accurate on the phone, pleasant service and food ready in about 20 minutes; Always fresh, hot and good. Portion sizes are large and prices seem fine to me. I can strongly recommend this place, call them up when passing Rayners Lane on the Met and your dinner is ready for collection as you pass the shop.”
Trattoria Da Carlo
“Three days ago. Easily one of best restaurants in whole of Surrey. High quality food, great service and very modest prices.”

Lihiniya
“I've had Indian, Persian, Pakistani curries this was the first Sri Lankan cuisine I had and it seemed so much better than the rest. Had the best mutton biryani with chicken curry, okra and daal side. On top of that roti, really enjoyed the roti. Look past the decor and front and you will find an amazing culinary experience. The chef is a little Sri Lankan lady who knows what's she's doing!”
Sunny Beach Bulgarian Restaurant
“I took an international group of friends to try Bulgarian food for the first time. They all absolutely loved it! We ordered many things and it was all delicious! Food is excellent, atmosphere is very Bulgarian (which was great for the overall experience) and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Would absolutely recommend!”
Agra Beckenham
“Consistently brilliant. Regularly dine at Agra, the care that goes into the food and dining experience pays off. Food equally delicious when delivered.”

“Food was great, biryani was very tasty and portion size was amazing. Butter chicken was good but could be abit more tasty...they sell halal food however they also sell alcohol so be aware of that if you mind...they also had karaoke the night I went so it was abit loud, but we didn't mind”

“Every single dish we had was delicious, especially the venison vermicelli doughnut which is one of the best things I’ve tasted. The tandoori chicken and pork ribs were also amazing! Great service and wine also. Will definitely go back”

“This place is a must try if you are around east London. The food is delicious and the portions are very generous. I highly recommend the dal rice dish, the veggie samosas, the onion bhajis and the nan bread.”
