My girlfriend and I came here for our anniversary and, upon arrival, we were greeted with a candle lit table, rose petals arranged into a love heart, and a bottle of chilled prosecco! “Finding steak houses can be difficult most of the time we're faced with a rubbery steak and a hefty bill. Well Millen & Carter despite being a chain it did not disappoint. I enjoyed a lovely lunch with a party of 4 we ordered 16oz ribeye which was cooked to expectation, the triple cooked chips was on point and the lettuce wedge and crispy onion was a surprise in a good way. Millen & Carter offers a good selection of cuts and additional add on from lobster tail to prawns. The menu boasts a wide variety to tailor for non steak fans from chicken , fish to vegetarian option. The staff was great very attentive and smiley besides the slightly long wait for my food I throughly enjoyed the steak abd definitely will return.”

“As a born (but not bred) Sri Lankan I think this is the best Sri Lankan food I've had in the UK, much better than stinky Hoppers (which sucks btw all you enablers!). The hoppers here are delicious, crispy and light with a hint of sour just like home and the curries to dip your hoppers in to are soooo good!! Equally the kotthu is great and again doused with any one of the curries is a class combo. Both are must cop here.”

“This is our favourite shop for buying ingredients for BBQ. I love to get a nice piece of beef which is sliced into thin slice and put it on for a short time on the BBQ and then slice it into small, bite size chunks and then turn it into a sandwich with the special bakery bread they sell here. They also do an amazing rice and lamb leg which is their signature dish to take away. That takes a bunch of hours to prepare so make sure to order ahead of when you need it.”

“Nice large clean bright restaurant. Friendly and accomadating staff, made a change to the order mid way and it was fine. Had the Florentina was perfect with the changed runny egg in the middle. Had a small out door seating area which is on a busy main road. If you love pizza could guarentee you won't be disappointed.”

“If you love authentic Japanese food in town, you can't miss Anytime Sushi. The fresh and well-presented sushi, sashimi and even the daily special, deep fried pork chop, are excellent. The food brings my memory of having Japanese food in Japan. Not just the fish, we had a wonderful night ended by the amazing green tea and sesame ice cream. We definitely will be back very soon.”
