“Fantastic experience for my first time using this salon - all staff friendly, lovely atmosphere and excellent quality of service. Eva took an awful head of post-lockdown hair ( dyed brown, blonde roots, outgrown style) and transformed it with a colour correction and several hours of pampering. Despite two colour lifts, my hair is shiny and still in excellent condition - thanks to her expertise and dedication. I would definitely recommend, and will be returning again.”

“Fabulous place, don't know why we haven't stayed before. Room was immaculate and large. The secondary glazing meant we couldn't hear any road noise so even though we were in the middle of the village we had a very sound night sleep. No parking on site but the station car park is about 30 seconds walk away and only 1.50 for the day so absolutely no trouble. The staff were lovely and incredibly accommodating. They have organised discounts at local places which was a nice touch. Would definitely stay again.”

The menu has a great variety of dishes, and everything I've tried has been absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the Pad Thai and the Green Curry - they're both to die for! The prices are reasonable as well.”

“For over two decades Bexley Charcoal Grill Bexley has been a pillar of the lovingly owned small businesses that make Bexley Village so special. Aside from the food, my preference is the delicious lamb and chicken shish combo with salad and pita bread generous enough to satisfy the hungriest, there is an upbeat positive feeling that the staff gives off topped off by the newly renovated premises. I always have the feeling when the younger customers come in after a long day, that they feel a little of the love that Bexley Charcoal Grill grill puts into making their dishes sending their customers back out into the rough in tumble world not only well fed, but cared for too. p.s. for those of you that enjoy authentic hummus and not the vile paste that you get in most supermarkets, Bexley Charcoal Grill’s hummus could be served proudly in any palace. Five stars. Highly recommend.”

“This is such a gem of a cattery!! Eric and Linda are so warm and friendly and you can see from visiting, just how much love and attention they give all the cats in their care. The chalets are so well prepared and have everything a cat needs to play and relax. The overall atmosphere is so settling and calm. Our cat, Adam, stayed here for 10 days over the summer and it was reassuring to know he was in this fantastic place! He came back so relaxed and happy - we are so grateful to Linda and Eric for taking such great care of him!”

“I recently ordered a large cod fish and chips and easily one of the best places so far.. the chip I can’t stop eating it because it’s so crispy but soft inside 10/10 a must try and the fish was top notch and very friendly people in that shop. whenever I need my fish and chips fix The Anchor is my new Go to”

“Massive portions at reasonable prices, had no.3 breakfast (I think). Plum toms, mush, fried slice, 2/3 slices bacon, egg, sausage, tea and 2 toast, £6.90! October 2022 as a reference point for prices. I work in SW London and would have to pay £8.50-9.00 for smaller portion. Clean, outside seating/smoking area to front.”

“I love this place and have since taken different people along with me to enjoy it too. We have always been made to feel incredibly welcome by the owners and the food and hot drinks are great. The portions are really large but with a focus on well sourced produce which is very important to the owners. The prices of everything listed are incredibly reasonable and the range of cakes and baked goods are extensive and delicious.”

“We visit here regularly. The kebabs are really nice and the salad too. They take cash only. The only thing that I find annoying is when you call up to make an order, turn up to collect it and it's never ready when they say it will be.”

“I've been here twice in quick succession. The restaurant is decorated very tastefully and has seating for around 50, which is much more than I expected. The service is very good, with our starters being delivered quickly and then offering us a slight pause before main courses. There was no feeling of being hurried or rushed. The food was of a very good quality and I'd happy take friends, family or dates back.”

“Great little Costa in the centre of Bexley village. It is open all hours, one of few places that are open before I go for my commute Customer service is excellent. Honestly the staff are absolutely amazing, really friendly and will go out of their way to open doors for people juggling lots of kids etc.”

“Review of The Railway Tavern, Bexley Village. Me and wife went there for the first time, on a Sunday night in March 2022 - having heard they had karaoke. Arrived about 7.30 and it wasn't very busy so we got high chairs at the bar. DJ Duncan was already set up on a stage in the corner; he does a regular Sunday night session until 11pm. It's a bright, nicely laid out pub on the High Street, unsurprisingly round the corner from Bexley Rail Station and handy for buses including the 229. By 8.30 it was busy and by 9 it was HEAVING, mostly with the late 20's crowd but a fair few coffin dodgers (like us!) and one or two harmless weirdies. The hard working barmaids were run ragged. Great music and singers (mostly, but, well, it is karaoke!). Drink prices reasonable; £10 for a single Bacardi, a bottle of coke and a pint of Timothy Taylor Landlord (which was excellent!). A great night out. Recommended.”

“Spent the afternoon and evening with a friend in the newly opened Millers. The landlord Paul made us very welcome and chatted about his plans and how he intends to run the pub. There are multiple screens that showed 6 nations rugby and the football. They dealt effectively and with no fuss when a group of ladies came in very drunk. The evening had a DJ and the place started to get busy. Paul had another 3 staff behind the bar, so getting served wasn’t a problem. The loo’s are in a separate building out the back. I’d like more choice on real ales, but that’s my only real criticism. Good luck with the future to all concerned and if Paul treats all his customers the way he treated us, he’ll make this pub a success quickly”

“What a lovely restaurant, staff are really friendly, the atmosphere was lovely and the food was incredible. Very tasty and excellent value for money. Wine choice was just enough and the Malbec was a perfect accompaniment to a 'hot' siciliana pizza. A little Gem in Blackfen Parade.”
