The London Wing Chun Academy
● Closed“I've trained here for a few months now, and feel it's an excellent place to train. I've trained at several martial arts clubs over the years, both good and not so good. I'm pleased to say that London Wing Chun Academy is one of the best places I ever trained. Great instructors, really observant, supportive and knowledgeable. The type of training really works got me, because it includes plenty of practical application, and a good amount of pad work. It's a really welcoming place to train too, a good spirit amongst those that train there. Finally, it's a well-equipped centre with plenty of bags, wooden dummies, and a weights section. I wish I'd started training here earlier!”

Matt Fiddes Martial Arts South London
● Open“Fabian is great with my son, try’s to accommodate our needs to attend class. Jaiden has grown to love martial arts and leadership that goes along with it. I would highly recommend the class it’s a safe space to explore mental strength, learning how to follow instructions, and self discipline that are transferable skills in all settings. I love the fact that progression can only occur if the kids are following gd behaviour out of class in school, home life.”

Osswa Jiu-jitsu
● Closed“Amazing place to train, I joined a few years back and being in my mid forties I was a little reluctant. The whole setup is like a brotherhood, with a lot of respect for one another. The leadership is phenomenal difficult to express how good this place is.. If I could give 10 stars I would.”

The Ealing Pole Studio
● Closed“I took beginners course and then followed up with a month of advanced classes back in the summer. Alex is a great teacher with a sense of humour, very charismatic, fun and clear with her instructions. She does give challenging moves even to the beginners and pushes you to your limits, especially if you go into it not very fit/strong/bendy, which is great if you want to challenge yourself or get into shape. It's a shame I had to stop taking her lessons, I would have carried on if I didn't move to the other side of London.”

Rise N Shine Nursery
● Open“I feel very comfortable leaving my little boy here. I’m able to feel in touch with him through the day using the app provided which is regularly and carefully updated. The staff are very friendly and caring and they work hard to put on a programme for the kids which is interesting, varied and fun all the while with an aim to furthering their development. There is a lovely garden where they spend time most days. We receive a daily activity report and a weekly newsletter so this with the app means communication is easy. Staff are very responsive which is so reassuring. My son seems happy here and that means everything.”

My Aerial Home
● Open“I recently joined MAH after seeing their amazing showcase from the one month Foundation Course. I immediately enrolled on the course and joined the school. The space is incredible and the staff and students are so friendly. The teaching is very professional, ensuring that everyone is safe and all ages and abilities are welcomed. It is difficult to put into words the atmosphere that Amanda has created here - although aerial is challenging, as soon as I walk in I am at ease, everyone is supported and encouraged and I have so much fun and laughter. It has become a second home to me.”

Charteris (Kilburn) Sports Centre
● Closed“After retiring from work my Doctor diagnosed me with Type 2 Diabetes and prescribed medication (MetFormin tablets). He advised me to exercise and to lose weight. I joined my local Charteris gym and the free weekly Over 50s Keep Fit session where I received a warm welcome and made new friends. Charteris is a community-based not for profit centre run by committed and hardworking Director Lloyd and colleagues who have developed a popular programme of activities for a diverse neighbourhood. After 6 months attending Charteris my Doctor tested me again and found that my health had improved and that I had lost weight. He told me that I no longer had Diabetes and stopped my medication. I will continue to use the Charteris Gym and to attend the weekly Over 50s sessions as it helps me to keep fit, lose weight, improve my health and hopefully live longer!”

AirHop Trampoline Park Guildford
● Open10 Midleton Industrial Estate Road, Guildford GU2 8XW, United Kingdom“Seems well run, safety conscious and in good working order. The trampolines are nice and bouncy unlike some bounce parks. All the staff come across well. My only complaint would be there are no foods catering for people with dietary requirements. However that is a nit pick. I've brought my kids here many times and we always have a really good time.”

Brook Physiotherapy Ltd
● Open“I have been a patient of Ian Cowell at Brook Physiotherapy for many, many years and that came after a recommendation. I have never known a physiotherapist who can shine a light anywhere near Ian. He is the absolute best and his practice is second to none. As well as being highly skilled, Ian and his team are honest and principled and always put patient care at the centre of everything they do. I simply can't recommend Ian and his team enough - it's a shame I only get to see Ian formally when there's something wrong!”

Walton Tai Chi School
● OpenWaterside Drive, Walton-on-thames KT12 2JG, United Kingdom“I moved, many years ago, from a stressful central London location to a more relaxed life style in Walton-on-Thames. The change included using a bike instead of a car. Looking for a bike in the local paper I found an ad for T’ai Chi. I decided for the T’ai Chi instead of the bike and it was the best decision ever ever ever taken. I have been with Kevin for over 12 years now and every weekly class is a truly enjoyment. Kevin is an outstanding instructor who explain not only every movements in detail but as well why we are doing it. Kevin’s knowledge of T’ai Chi, its movements, history, culture is outstanding. Not to mention all adds-on like Qi Qong, meditation, relaxation, weapons etc. is just top of everything.”

Learn Tai Chi
● Open8 Hale Gardens, London W3 9SQ, United Kingdom“For me, one of the most natural teachers out there and one of the few in the country teaching the authentic Tai Chi Chuan, which includes internal strength training. I found Rob a warm and incredibly patient person. Unassuming and meets you totally at your level. I am very fussy about the quality of training I receive so did lots of research to find him. I found out with he was and still is currently being trained by the very best in the world, so I knew I was in safe hands and wasn't going to get taught lots of fancy looking moves that don't work in the real world... Since individual lessons with Rob I have not just overcome the debilitating effects of Chronic Fatigue but I am thriving now. I practice Tai Chi and internal strength exercises daily. It takes dedication but I am pleased to say my fitness, strength, balance, energy and coordination is pretty phenomenal now. If you are interested in developing martial arts/self defense or wish to overcome a health challenge, Tai Chi Chuan has an incredible amount to offer you and in my opinion, with Rob, you just cannot fail!”

Capoeira Nago at Jinga Jinga Academy
● Open“Having trained in several capoeira groups, and with many capoeira teachers, I can confidently say that Sereia is one of the absolute best teachers I had the chance to train with. Her lessons are fun, engaging and focussed. She manages to make the beginners feel at ease very quickly and to push the students with more level accordingly. And she easily adapts exercises to whether you have back problems, knees issues, if you are pregnant, etc... She also has a huge amount of connections in the capoeira community and as such offers the possibility to attend many events and gradings throughout the year for those who want to join. And group of people training is as amazing as the teacher! Everyone is very supportive and always willing to help. There are a lot of socials oragnised and many opportunities to spend time with great people and know each other better. For the curious, the adventurer, the sporty, the dancy, the fun, the challenger, the musical, the history geek, or the fun... I wholeheartedly recommend!!”
