Black Horse
● Open“What a Gem of a place. Seemingly, in the middle of nowhere. Arrived by taxi from Uxbridge, booked a table prior to a evening's entertainment cabaret show at the local Memorial hall, "When we are Married". The Black Horse, is warm and inviting, we stopped though not long enough to get a drink as Franco the host ushered us through to the restaurant and upgraded our table seeing that we were quite burly lads. We took a prime table with surround views of the entire establishment. Was warm and cosy with the din of family and friends in full conversation and laughter. For aperitif we had a Negroni and my brother had a Aperol spritz and a bottle of white wine with the mains. I had a Slow cooked Pork belly with Savoy cabbage and dauphinoise and an additional dauphinoise, an absolutely and fabulous meal the entire meal was delightful. Will cherish the fabulous moments and foodie memories (yum-yum). Staff were very accommodating and Chef was as pretty as her food delicious. I wanted to stay, though sadly had to go.”

The Red Lion
● Open“Having just finished a 10 mile walk, i was famished. This place was a gem i found by accident. My friend and i asked if they had a table as the place was rammed. The very efficient lady in charge was able to squeeze us in if we promised to be done in an hour as the table was reserved. Food looked gorgeous but i just opted for a snack which was dirty fries with beef and cheese”

Ye Olde Greene Manne
● Closed“Totally delicious lunch! Restaurant was very busy with festive groups but this did not impact on the service provided. Lovely staff who were attentive, friendly and professional. We ate from the festive menu and the food was excellent. My friend said it was the best pork belly she had ever had in a restaurant and my turkey was full of flavour and cooked to perfection. Highly recommended.”

Dance, Drama, Performing Arts School- Rise Studios
● Closed“Highly recommend this dance school to anyone wanting to dance! The teachers at Rise are very professional and friendly, they are good at helping their students reach their full potential in a caring way and make their classes very enjoyable. My daughter started dancing with Claire when she was just a toddler and her love of dance began. She is now 15 and attends Advanced Hip Hop on a Wednesday evening. She loves it and it is the highlight of her week. It has been wonderful that Rise has been able to offer zoom lessons throughout lockdown as it has given her time to unwind from her GCSE studies and has really benefitted her mental health.”

The Royal Masonic School for Girls
● Closed“My daughter has been attending RMS since the age of 2. She attended Ruspini House, Cadogan House and is now very happy attending the Senior School. My husband and I are thrilled with our daughter's experience at RMS and the amazing opportunities she has had to try new things. Our daughter plays in 2 of the many musical ensembles and orchestras. She sings, she competes in a variety of sports, she takes part in Academic scholar classes, is a member of the Army Cadet Force (based in the school), she performs Drill...the list goes on and on and on... in fact there are over 60 extra curricular clubs on offer. I love the fact that the teachers know our daughter so well and can therefore support her to get the most out of the RMS experience. The food is lovely, the facilities are wonderful and the pastoral care is exceptional. As parents we get the chance to speak to staff on a regular basis, visit the Forest School, attend school events all with the the objective of making our daughter's experience at RMS - a family one.”
