“Myself and my partner were in Borehamwood today on his birthday weekend and were looking for a late breakfast. We noticed this cafe and thought we would give it a try. It's very clean and staff are very friendly and attentive. Prices are reasonable and very good value for money. Quality and presentation of the food was nice and fresh. Highly recommendable :)”

“I stayed at Premier Inn Elstree Boreham while my husband was in hospital. I spent 9 nights in that hotel. It was a very difficult time for me, but the staff were very kind and so helpful, they made my stay very comfortable. They received parcels for me when I was not in. The dinner I had there was well prepared. The restaurant service was very good. I will definitely stay at Premier Inn again, it was affordable, clean, comfortable and safe when I needed just such a place. Thank you to cleaners, receptionists, bar and restaurant staff, maintenance etc, you all played your part to perfection.”

“Genuinely gorgeous food and especially cakes, wow! Tried a cake today (lime something) possibly one of the top 3 desserts I ever had. Staff are very friendly and polite, and the manager is an angel! Charming and sweet makes the experience even better. We ordered rustic dog meal, sourdough toast with avocado and the cake I mentioned above and some skin on fries. Fries genuinely tasted like potatoes which is an experience I only had in really rare times. Beautify taste and beautiful atmosphere and just really lovely food and customer service. A manager who shows that she doesn’t just care about her customers but also about her staff. Definitely will be there again. Highly recommended!”

Was served by the new store manager, who helped me with his words of wisdom "Christmas is a Marathon not a Sprint! Ease yourself into it" so I also ended up with a delicious warm mince pie. Expensive (although visited during eat out to help out scheme) but with great food, you should definitely check Balagan out. I ordered a schnitzel meal, which came accompanied by chips and salad. The schnitzel was crispy and tasty albeit a little on the small side, but the chips were incredible. Super soft and wonderfully unprocessed, these were by far the best chips I’ve had in a while. Salad was good as well, and the Oreo milkshake was decent for a Parve option. Shawarma was also great as well as falafel, and the pita that came with the meal was really great and authentic, you could definitely tell it had been grilled a little. Staff were quick to check up on us and ensure the meal was fine, and it was nice sitting outside. Great experience overall.”

Good car parking as well. Loved the big screens and table football to keep our grandson occupied. Think my wife’s comment on the way home summed it up ‘would go there again!’.”
