The Surrey Quays store has mostly cooked the pizzas on time or delivered on time, with the quality of the pizzas always being top notch. It’s clearly not as authentic as the Italian place Beluccis around the corner but they are a good staple.”

Most importantly, the owner takes pride in the quality of the food and drink, and it’s important to support small businesses in lieu of all the chains cropping up that don’t treat customers with the same care. “We love Apna! This is our go-to takeaway. We've tried most dishes on the "modern classics" menu and have enjoyed each one, but our favourite is the Gurkha's Revenge (lamb) and Pista Malai (chicken). The pick of a very good bunch was the pork belly (Moo Krob; crispy crunchy fatty salty fragrant spicy. V good egg rice too! Very solid pad Thai but felt that was a bit of a familiar choice considering how exciting the menu/specials are. Ignore the derbrain reviews about rude service - it is unfussy and efficient!”
