“Went here for the first time on Wednesday and was back on Friday for my wife's birthday. It is in a different league to you standard Indian. The chef is brilliant, a true gentleman and produces outstanding food. I can't recommend it enough.”

My only issue is the atmosphere is a bit too sterile - lighting is too bright and the decor is nice but a bit cold. 5 stars for food and service though. Will be back!”

“Have dined a number of times and never been disappointed. As it was bonfire night a friend and I decided to get a takeaway. The food was beautiful, hot, with all the right spices, making it the same as if dined in. What was exceptional was that 2/3 minutes after opening the takeaway bag I realised that one item was incorrect but as we liked this starter anyway we decided not to bother to do anything. However the phone went and panorama rang, full of apologies and sent a driver out with the item we had ordered. I said it didn’t matter but they insisted. I thought this was great customer service. Amazing food, never disappointed completed with great customer service by lovely people”

“I wish I’d taken more photos because these 2 don’t really do the food justice. The quality and variety is what stood out for me - starters such as Jeera Chicken made with chicken on the bone, cassava root with garlic and chilli and paneer shashlik were my favourites. Great atmosphere and service as well, plus the wonderful Tusker beer, I highly recommend this place!”

“I had dansak lamb and keema naan, very good quality, tender lamb and a good level of spice for me. I would recommend only ordering direct and not through Uber eats or any third party.”

“Great tasting and authentic Indian food. The naans are baked at the restaurant (not out of a packet). The variety is good and taste is authentic. I ordered a Panner dish with garlic naan and it was awesome! Ended the meal with an kulfi, which was fantastic as well.”

“Omg finally found something that reminds me of my childhood in aamchi Mumbai, India... thanks to my new neighbours that recommended me this place. The sev puri is a 5Star, loved it.. the dabeli was great and full of flavour.. I'm not quite sure if the pay bhaji has hit the spot, but still was tasty. We ordered takeaway and everything arrived well packaged. Now I'm looking forward to ordering it again.”

“Kolapata’s food is delicious. We had kichuri, dal, shutki vorta, rice and beef chap, beef vuna and tea. Authentic Bengali food, which we have enjoyed. Service is amazing as well. Staffs are very friendly. Must go place.”

“We used the restaurant for the first time two days ago for a family takeaway. We ordered around 10 dishes and every single one was delicious. Vegetables tasted freshly cooked and sauces and spices subtle and delightful. Prices also very reasonable. Don't normally bother to post reviews but feel this restaurant deserves a good one, knowing few can afford to waste money on disappointing food in these difficult times.”

“If you're looking for good food and are not fussed with shiny decor then this is the place for you! I don't understand the bad reviews. The food is lovely and the staff are friendly. Want more spice knowing you like it hot, ask. Don't comment on it afterwards. They are friendly enough to strike a conversation to know what you like.”
