City living experience in Loughton

“Had kitchen done with Schmidt in Loughton as service is like no other. From design to build was all coordinated by Will, who was courteous, thoughtful and always took the time to explain and respond to all correspondence even after the kitchen was completed. I made last minute changes and this was never an issue. The team used for the build were great. Everything ran to time. I have a small house and a small kitchen, I didn't have to store anything here as it was coordinated and delivered for after the old kitchen was ripped out. George who was the carpenter pays attention to detail and has come by to fix little things that weren't working for me, like how a cabinet door opens/closes. The kitchen is lovely. It cost more than the other kitchens I looked at, but it was worth it for the finish, quality and absolute ease of working with Will at Schmidt and the team he's picked to do the job.”

“Run, do not walk here... unless it's up the hill then take the walk at a brisk pace. They have recently redecorated but that's not the only reason why. They are now serving Chuck & Brisket, a small menu filled with the absolute best burgers I have tasted. Forget Dead Hippies from Meat Liquor, or Shake Shack. The cheeseburgers here are juicy, mouth-watering and the most delicious brioche meat sandwiches I'vehad in a very long time. The patties taste incredible and are so moist. I couldn't fault it and I was a little sad when it was over. Their skin-on fries transported me to my grandmother's kitchen, for me, a comfort food. I would absolutely come back here, and implore any newcomers and regulars to try their delightful menu, otherwise you would be doing yourself a disservice. You will not regret it.”

“When I decided to update my kitchen, I knew whilst I wanted to make some changes to layout, but I was keen for a makeover rather a complete new kitchen. I also wanted to find someone locally to work with, and was so happy to find and Mark and Lisa in Loughton. They were absolutely brilliant, lovely and helpful from start to finish. Perry who completes the fitting was amazing and completed so much work in a short space of time. Whilst a small kitchen, the changes have transformed the space. Huge thanks to all of you!”

“Wonderful time here. Food was on point , bought a combo meal which was 18 quid. Which is two main courses. And 2 sides. The oxtail was amazing and tender. And stew its in was well put together. The jerk chicken was great aswell although I wasn't keen on the sauce. Guiness punch was lovely too.staff were great and ill definable be back”

“Very nice fish and chips. Fresh every time. It is not often that we get a family take away. But when we do this is top of our list. Friendly staff as well. Someone has commented that is cash only. That may have been when they first opened. You can pay by card, no problem. Most of takeaway packaging is paper. Although still some polystyrene for the chips portion. I will mention to the staff next time I order. It would be nice to cut on plastic wherever possible.”

“Best wings I’ve had to date. Always come here on Wednesdays for 2 for 1 wings. Mango Mazzaline has to be the best flavour for me, sweet with that kick of scotch bonnet fragrance. Have also tried other flavours and yet still delicious. Loaded fries is just moreish with the lashings of different cheeses. Hidden local gem and a must try!”
