“We are fortunate enough for our daughter to attend Boys and Girls in Rickmansworth and can’t recommend it enough for any local family. At drop-off I always leave reassured that my daughter is in a warm, family-like atmosphere, where she is being well cared for whilst developing. My daughter started when she turned 1 in the Baby room. I have found every member of the Baby room to be really professional and experienced in early childhood development. They have cared so deeply for her and have really take the time to tailor things to her needs to ensure that she was being exposed to things in the best way for her. It was this degree of attention and care that we found to be unique and truly world class in terms of childcare. In the time she has been there she truly has flourished and formed such amazing close bonds with her careers. The facilities are great, they are clean and well planned for the children to get the most out of their time there; the newly developed outside space makes it extra special. As my daughter transitions to the pre-toddler room I have no fear; as I know such a great team will be awaiting to care for her; managed by a fabulous management team.”

“You can walk and walk and...... as long or short as you like. Around every corner there's something new. The walk along the canal is a total change to the paths around the lakes. Watch out for loose dogs, a big issue. Excellent free parking. Approach road to the car park is tricky. Turn left at the pub as the sign is virtually hidden. It's in the same road as Tesco. Cafe in the Park has yummy cakes but the wait is ........ too long at peak times so chill'ish. Enjoy”

“Hired Mill End CC for my Son’s 6th Birthday Party. Was able to hire both the Main Hall & the Large Garden which was ideal for a kids birthday party in Summer. Sylwia was a delight to deal with, met us to show us around, and answered any queries we had promptly. Plenty of tables / chairs and space to adequately cater for any number of guests from about 1-30. Use of kitchen to prepare food also very helpful, and I thought the cost of it all was very fair.”

“Nice play Park for kids, could do with a few more swings only 2 on site, a little take away coffee bar would be good as well, but still enjoyed it and you can walk over the bridge to the big lake, watch waters ports and feed the ducks”

“I will always love this farm! Because it’s only open a handful of times a year and because it’s not in the most obvious of places it makes you feel like you’re in some sort of secret society and I love it. I love the fact you can buy feed for 50p and feed a great number of the animals in the farm yard. I also love the number of exotic animals they have for a farm in watford. They have raccoons, artic foxes and my favourites Capybara which is odd for a small farm in a city. I will continue to go to this farm every year for at least one of there open days and highly recommend it to anyone, old, young, family, couples, with young children and without. Everyone will love it.”

“Outstanding nursery! Pam the owner is the kindest and so professional. All the staff are so lovely, our little one loved them. They would organise amazing, educational and fun activities on a daily basis and then provide daily updates via an app along with cute photos. They made sure our child ate when she was hungry. “Little Cakes is an amazing pre-school setting. Both of my children thrived here as they were supported with a great selection of outdoor and indoor activities. It’s such a beautiful, unique setting in the Chorleywood House grounds and the team really take advantage of the location with nature walks, tennis lessons, visiting the alpacas and playing under the trees. Both of my children also loved gaining independence at Little Cakes and learning new practical skills which the Montessori teaching promotes. It’s friendly and welcoming and, most importantly, the staff are very caring and nurturing. I highly recommend - 5/5 stars!”
