“Run, do not walk here... unless it's up the hill then take the walk at a brisk pace. They have recently redecorated but that's not the only reason why. They are now serving Chuck & Brisket, a small menu filled with the absolute best burgers I have tasted. Forget Dead Hippies from Meat Liquor, or Shake Shack. The cheeseburgers here are juicy, mouth-watering and the most delicious brioche meat sandwiches I'vehad in a very long time. The patties taste incredible and are so moist. I couldn't fault it and I was a little sad when it was over. Their skin-on fries transported me to my grandmother's kitchen, for me, a comfort food. I would absolutely come back here, and implore any newcomers and regulars to try their delightful menu, otherwise you would be doing yourself a disservice. You will not regret it.”

“The best place for toasted sandwiches with dietary requirements! They offered a meal deal with a drink which in my case was a Peach nectar and everything was delicious! “The Carpenters Arms is a great pub that dates back to the old style beer houses. There's no other pub in Loughton that possesses that kind of style. It has more than ample outdoor seating for the present times during government regulations but to be inside the Carpenters Arms is something to look forward to. It has such a great character inside that most pubs do not possess. Well worth a visit.”

“Best wings I’ve had to date. Always come here on Wednesdays for 2 for 1 wings. Mango Mazzaline has to be the best flavour for me, sweet with that kick of scotch bonnet fragrance. Have also tried other flavours and yet still delicious. Loaded fries is just moreish with the lashings of different cheeses. Hidden local gem and a must try!”
