Kennington Lane Cafe
● Open383 Kennington Lane, London SE11 5QY, United Kingdom“There is something special about meeting the owner especially when he offers you to try the kebab doner. Come in groups or if you are a loner, but let me tell you no space if you are a moaner. Portions are generous and big, options are plenty for vegetarians and those who like to eat the whole pig, I think there is even a cake with fig, A 5/5 spot, the kind I dig.”

Excellent and swift service, delicious food and great value for money: we shared a starter and had 2 mains (Sichuan King Prawns with Noodles and Bun Noodle Salad) and it was less than £25. Surprisingly quiet for a Saturday evening, but I think word will spread so go soon”

Imm Thai Cafe’
● Closed“Came here on a whim as I was on my way to see a show at the Playground theatre up the road and coming straight from work I hadn’t eaten. I ended up having a 3 course meal here as the food was so delicious! I had the Tom yum soup (I could have eaten a bucket of it!) the chicken wings were perfectly crispy and the green Thai curry was one of the best I’ve had in london. The cafe it’s self is lovely and has comfortable, laid back feel. The staff were lovely. It was a really unexpected treat to come across this place and I’ll definitely be back, this time with the whole family!”

Bespoke cafe
● Open“Very nice cafe situated in Ballard's Lane also it's very clean in there and a great place to stop off for a coffee. Or some cooked food if you prefer something else rather than just a coffee. Also the staff in there are very friendly and this creates a really nice atmosphere. Also I would highly recommend this little cafe as it really is worth a visit. Also I had forgot to mention that they do have seating inside and out. So it's perfect when the weather is a bit chilly or a bit warm. So the owners really have given this some thought. Also there's a few other small stores around there so In my opinion all is good.”

Sista Barista Cafe
● Closed“Doesn’t it feel amazing when a stranger greets you with a smile. Was on a walk yesterday in town and was desperately looking for an independent cafe as my new target is to help out local outlets n shops as much as possible so after hunting and walking around I saw this small cafe and it was already post 4pm so I wasn’t sure it would be open but it was. I hopped in and ordered my favourite Mocha and a small hot chocolate for a friend. Patient staff and maintained all COVID distance. She freshly brewed my coffee which they source from @nudecoffeeroasters Yummy and affordable. I always tht cafe’s in central london are bound to be overpriced but to my surprise it was pretty reasonable. Had a cozy interior and warm. The windows were covered in tiny rain drops and fairy lights just made it s beautiful sight! I love it when people love and work passionately and the server here was so kind and sweet! Must visit if you are in the neighbourhood.”

Cafe Verditer.
● Open“I have been coming here 3 or 4 times a week since it opened in 2017 and the coffee is absolutely perfect. Service is exceptional and they never miss a beat, even at busy times. I have been a regular at this cafe, through a couple of previous incarnations, since the late 90's when it was also exceptional. I'm very pleased that the current team continue to provide such an excellent service - day in day out. Keep up the great work!”
