When busy the team will do their best to process the orders quickly and efficiently and when only a few customers take their time and the end result is a great tasting quality coffee. “Love this place. But... it used to be the second best bar in London. Now it may be the first! Food is amazing sicilian-Cameroonian fusion with am emphasis on seafood fresher than the Prince of Bel aire. The service from the lovely crew is amazing.Drinks are great value. “I ignored some of the reviews on here and went anyway, glad I did as I had a nice experience. Ordered the breakfast tagine, one pot egg/pepper, and french toast. Food was all great and served in good time. Prices were also decent and not over the top. There’s a nice calm atmosphere in the place. Some of the tables/chairs could do with changing as they were a bit ugly. Teas and coffees aren’t served hot, they’re sort of warm and they go cold fast. Other than that all was good and I would happily visit again. Their pastries look fantastic so I may try them next time.”

“Over the years I’ve turned into a regular customer here because the food is delicious and is of great value. The Chicken shawarma meal is my go to but love so many of the menu items. Tasty hummus, great halloumi, awesome kallaj. Highly recommended having eaten in, taken away, and had delivered.”

“Incredible dinner at Skylon from start to finish. They accommodated our late booking we were looking for a relaxed setting with views and great food and our expectations were exceeded by miles! The food was to die for (they were out of oysters but the other starter options were gorgeous). We got the burger which was textbook perfect - delicious and the duck that was outstanding. Gorgeous and good sized portions. They knew about our special occasions and they brought our desserts out with candles! Service was perfect and our experience was made even better by Mihela an absolute star. We'll be back!”

“They’ve done refurbishment both inside and out, but the food is still as tasty as before. We were a party of 7 and ordered one family grill and a large mixed grill with two dishes of Calamari. Their freezer got broken and no desserts were available except Baklava and rice pudding. It was very disappointing, but they gave us free Baklava and Turkish tea. I love Baklava. There are hit and miss sometimes, but it was so good that I ate three pieces! Carolina waited on us with honesty and great care. She is wonderful. I highly recommend the place.”

“This was my first time to try canaan as my regular Chinese closed. I was a bit sceptical at first as the prices are cheaper compared to my past few take aways i tried. For a safe bet l went for set meal c. Everything was still hot when I received it and the portions are generous for the price, and everything tasted fresh. As l didn't know what to order as this wasn't my usual take away, the lady at the counter was very helpful talking me through the dishes and given me suggestions, without being too busy. I didn't have to wait long which I was prepared to do given it was a Friday evening and everything was cooked to my specifications.(I am quite picky. The meal was tasty and still cheaper then most other s. I recommend Canaan's for your local Chinese if you live in the local area.”

Very attentive, truly catered for what we wanted to try, we wanted something a little different than the usual Italian pasta alongside with a nice wine We were impressed on how we were made feel relaxed and simply enjoyed the evening. “The food was very nice, the wait staff pleasant and the actual wait was not long. Some of the reviews do not seem to be fair to this place, admittedly we arrived for a late lunch at about 2:30 and it was quite empty so the service and wait for food may not be representative. I would eat here again as the food was very good and reasonably priced, 6 if us eating for under £90, in Kings Cross, apart from macdonalds where could you get that sort of price?”
