Ye Olde London
● Open“I’ve walked past this pub for many years but had never visited until today. To be honest its name and proximity to St Paul’s Cathedral put me off, as I wrongly assumed that it was a tourist place. Really friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. A much bigger space downstairs although closed on a quiet January afternoon. Loved the huge wooden balustrades that dominate the street level bar area. A Greene King pub but I was happy to find Timothy Taylor Landlord on draught. Even a garden out back - a rarity in The City of London. A hidden gem in plain sight!”

The London & Rye
● Open“Hilarious. The staff are wearing what looks like security cameras. I was sat near a couple that were having a loud and drunken argument. An old man was just staring at me from his pint of I assume some guest ale, then averted his gaze when I stared back. Staff member who took my order was the newest, poor thing looked suitably overwhelmed. 10/10 would visit again..”

Squires Cafe & Restaurant, London
● Open“I made a visit to the try the food at the Barking Road branch with a friend of mine. I had the Okro-Ogbono soup with beef and pounded yam. The other options were assorted meats (including shaki/tripe) and fish however, the beef option was plenty enough for me. The food is warm, flavourful and has a perfect amount of spice. It was perfect for my taste palette as I enjoy spicy food. The staff explained the meat and fish options to me clearly and were friendly to us. I recommend you to have a try if you're ever near Canning Town in East London! PS. We had a conversation with a lady whilst waiting for our meal and she clarified to me that Nigerian people eat there regularly so thats how you know its lit.”

The kids Love eating here and my daughter has asked if she can have a birthday party here. Would always recommend this fabulous family run cafe.”

Highly recommend, it does get busy in there, if you can sit upstairs as there is more space.”

The Yeast Brothers
● Closed“Really good pizza! A lot of places do this style pizza in London now but not all pull it off that well...the courgette and ricotta pizza was really nice and I'm not normally a fan of the white bases. Crust is huge on them which I personally love and the dips to go with it were great.”

The restaurant manager reacted extremely well and made me a customer gesture for the wait . Once I received my order I can tell you that all this mishap was forgotten … it was so good and super fresh !! The strawberries and bananas were fresh and the waffle very crisp.
