Bumble Bees Day Nursery Ltd
● Closed“My daughter went to Bumblebees from 8 months until she went to school and my son from 9 months and he's still there! We love it! It's such a friendly, homely and family orientated nursery - with a wonderful warm and fun atmosphere. My kids have learnt so much! They're an amazing extension from what we do at home learning manners, sharing, social skills and most importantly they felt safe secure and had a ton of fun every day!!!”

Heathbrook Primary School
● Open“Heathbrook is a fantastic place, with a really strong community feel to it. The school focuses really hard on giving the kids opportunities in music, art, sport and learning outside, and has an amazing nature garden where all the pupils spend time doing forest school. However, importantly, it also gets good results in English and Maths and gives the children a really good grounding for their learning. The curriculum is interpreted really creatively and the pupils are challenged and encouraged to achieve their best. If you're considering sending your child here, go and take a look, it is a really lovely school.”

The London Acorn School
● Closed“Superb school and staff. We moved our child from our local outstanding school to Acorn after we noticed he was been left behind due to a rushing attitude on learning and some other factors. The care and attention given here has huggly improved his well being therefore a massive step towards the education. If you are thinking of joining the school go and see it for yourself. Notice the happy children, notice the classrooms and the office. Speak to the teachers and you will get your answers. We are very greaful to have chosen this school.”

Ray Lodge Primary School
● Open“To whom it may concern I don’t normally send emails like this but a group of school children from Ray Lodge Primary School got on my tube carriage yesterday on my daily commute into London. Normally the whole carriage sighs (as they do not want to hear (or see) school children in the morning but this group was very different. They sat quietly and read their books and were simply the best behaved children I have ever seen. I know someone else commented on the tube too to the teacher in charge. I have lived in Woodford for over 20 years and actually sent my daughter to Churchfields school but having seen those children yesterday I would have certainly reconsidered that choice now. Whoever the teacher was that was in charge of them was brilliant, she completely had all those children under control at all times. Kind regards Jenny”

The John Locke Academy
● Closed“I have two children at this school, one in Yr. 2 and the other just started Reception having attended the Nursery. Both of them throughly enjoy attending and learning in this environment and it constantly amazes me just how varied their knowledge has become. From day one (2years ago) when there were only 43 4 year olds, to this day of over 250 pupils, there has been a consistent and tenacious focus on delivering the best learning for all of its pupils. The leadership team are warm and welcoming, making themselves highly visible at the school gate and always willing to listen to parents' views or offer advice. They have set out a strong set of values and life skills which are positively reinforced across the school in a consistent way from class teacher to whole assembly. For some of these traits the children are asked to behave like a particular ' Learnasaur ' character such as the Tryasaurus who is always willing to try new things or a Sharadactyl who shares their learning resources. Both my kids have really engaged with this type of encouragement and it is commonplace to hear us talking about them at home. All the staff that have been recruited display a huge passion for delivering the best experience for the children, whether they're dinner ladies, site managers or have office roles. The teaching staff are great and display the same understated professionalism day in day out, they have embraced the opportunity this new school presents and are working well together to deliver a first class education. Mr Butler's musical influences have shown themselves many times over the last couple of years during assemblies and Nativity plays. My personal highlight was last years Year 1 performance which involved the whole year group, lasted over 40 mins and was incredible to watch, it was hard to believe we were watching 6 year olds as the performance level and engagement across the whole group was so strong and mature. Other highlights from last year included the children asking Boris Johnson some tough questions when he visited the school and the Pupils performing their 'Big Dance' at the summer fayre.”

Thorpe Church of England Primary School
● Open“Inspection dates 15–16 January 2014 Overall effectiveness...................Outstanding 1 Achievement of pupils.................Outstanding 1 Quality of teaching......................Outstanding 1 Behaviour and safety of pupils.....Outstanding 1 Leadership and management.......Outstanding 1 We were blown away by the OFSTED standards achieved when we applied for our son. Mrs Southgate is a truly inspirational Head teacher & with her team should be commended for what they have achieved. My son is now into his second year & is not only doing well, he really enjoyed his days at school. The only comment I would make is communication to parents at times could be better. The school also runs an after school club called the Gap Club, where my son has a lot of fun. We find the club very helpful with our busy lives with work. Carry on the good work!”
