To say we were tired is an understatement. Rachel, tailored our day with some walking and a ton of history. This lady knows London inside and out! I really wanted to see Abbey Road. She even snapped some pictures of us in the crosswalk. We also had Sunday Roast in a little pub. The perfect end to a great trip.”

● Closed“OMG. Loved this place - one of my favourite meals of 2022, despite it being mostly vegetarian. The only thing I didn't like was the aubergine...but more my tastebuds kind of thing. Cassava was a revelation, the cauliflower fried bits were gorgeous, the black bean tacos were surprisingly good. Even the chicken was great. Don't be afraid if you are a carnivore like me...venue is awesome too, and quite the surprise.”

NEPA Coffee and food
● Closed“NEPA Coffe and Food is a favorite spot for those working and living in the area and a great alternative to both the coffee chains (i.e Starbucks) and and independent coffee shops (i.e Shoreditch Grind). NEPA is located on a side street off East Road and sandwiched between the Premier Inn hotel and Scape Shoreditch. Unlike other independent coffee shops that at times suffer of the Shoreditch attitude and outright bad service, the staff at NEPA are always cordial and friendly. This gives NEPA is a unique homely neighborhood cafe feel. The space is small and narrow with five to six small tables. In the summer it features three small tables for outside sidewalk sitting. It recently underwent an interior design update, which helped make the space more spacious but keeping the homely look and feel. The food on offer is a combination of coffee, tea, porridge, home baked goods and cakes - including croissants, muffins, Oreo cookie cake, lemon drizzle cake - and freshly made sandwiches and salads for lunch. The cakes and food are fresh and tasty. Opening at 7AM every day you can see the staff busy preparing the fresh food ahead of the lunch crowd. Price wise it is cheaper than your local Starbucks and the service is pure charm.”

I look forward to trying a pizza next time.”

The brown stew fish was so delicious and flavoursome, the rice and peas were tasty, the steamed vegetables were enjoyable and the dumpling was good. The dumpling was thrown in for free which was a nice touch. The portion sizes are very generous, really good value for money. I phoned the restaurant to see if the rice and peas were included with the brown stew fish and the woman on the phone was really warm and friendly. I've tried many Caribbean takeaways in East London and this one is by far the best. I would highly recommend!”

I always feel like it’s quite difficult to find a good fresh fish restaurant in London and surroundings: they all tend to deep fry everything and that’s annoying. The Blue Harbour offers a good selection of sea delicacy, big enough portions and a lovely service from the staff. We had a warm welcome as soon as we crossed the door and it didn’t stop until we left. The menu offers a good selection of fish as well as shellfish and seafood with an add on of steak for those who also can’t give up meat! Admirable selection of wines too. Overall it’s a bit pricy, however considering the quality of the food and it’s freshness I do think it’s fair. I will definitely recommend this restaurant and come back for the halibut!!”
