“Lovely old pub with a nice cosy atmosphere. Good beers such as Rebellion. Did the monthly Monday night quiz which was well attended and good fun.”
The White Horse
“Went here last night with 3 friends for food and drinks. First time I had been there - great atmosphere and super food! Have already booked again !! Looking forward to going to one of the music nights there too.”
The Feathers
“Great pub for a Sunday roast and these guys where nice enough to let us totally customise our burgers. Nice atmosphere and great service.”
The Fox & Hounds
“Owner always greet you and friendly, quiet enviroment during day and busy at night. Thai food served here as Joy of Thai restaurant. Good Thai foods and reasonably cheap with portion you can share if you are not that hungry. Lunch served at noon at bar area and evening at top floor separated with bar which busy every evening. During COVID the area set a giant tippy in the garden.”
The White Bear
“First time here and we were really impressed. A great menu with some unusual options and a lot of variety. The portion sizes were very generous and everything we ordered tasted great. They also had Mogo which you usually only find in authentic Indian cuisine.”
The Boot
“Delicious dirty burger has it all...loaded with bacon, Stilton, mushrooms, tomatoes, lettuce, gherkin, onion rings, hunk of juicy meat, freshly made slaw and fat chips. Great service and beers! This place was a wonderful find, to sit in the autumnal sun.”
The Artichoke
“This was surprisingly a great little chill spot with good tasting food. I was expecting bland bar food, but got very tasty meal, the cheese burger was really juicy and tasted like it was made fresh and not from frozen patties. Drinks service was a bit slow because the place was crowded but this comes with Friday nights I guess.”
Fox & Hounds
“Delicious food, clean and cosy environment and the most wonderful, friendly and accommodating staff I have come across in an incredibly long time. They couldn't have been more lovely. Thank you so much from us all, including Buffy the Floof”
Halfway House
“Nice friendly staff, lovely beer garden and good thai food. Perfect ambience eating surrounded by the sound of bird song and water”
The Coach & Horses
“We called in for a drink, half way through our walk. What a great welcome from the barmaid. Happy and cheery. A very welcoming pub, fab atmosphere.”
The Coach & Horses
“We booked the Coach & Horses for a wake after my mum's funeral. The staff were very friendly, well organised and helpful and served drinks on our arrival really efficently. The buffet for 40 people was delicious and plentiful. We could not have asked for a better experience to make a difficult day memorable. Thanks to the whole team.”
The Red House
“Really enjoyed my time here! Came in for a quick drink and a meal while visiting the area! Food was tasty, drinks had a familiar selection and the staff were really friendly. Highly recommend.”
