Ammos Hyde Park
“We had an amazing dinner here during our last night in London! Highly recommend! (highlights were the Cretan dakos salad, the fried halloumi with jam, and the tzatiki). The staff were so lovely.”
Vanilla Café
“Friendly service and decent coffee. The sausage and egg sandwich was fantastic and really filling. Great value for money.”
The Waffle Bar
“Visited yesterday approx 1pm on a Monday, as a couple, our first time, and it was excellent! Was really quite busy, which was great to see, but can also understand why. Nice ambiance, friendly staff, lovely design of the place and all crockery. Food was really fresh, perfectly priced and timed perfectly. Great menu, we had a tea each, bacon syrup waffles and chicken, pesto toastie. Nice range of ages in there too, friends getting together, family afternoon teas, couples and generally people out for lunch. 100% recommend, and will be back.”
Zig Zag Cafe
“I'm a regular here and the service is always lovely. Everyone is so kind, friendly and polite. The owner is really attentive towards his customers and makes sure they aren't missing anything from their dining experience. I love the vibe of the cafe and the music always fits my taste. The only issue is that I feel guilty staying longer to finish my work when the busy hours start since there is limited seating and I don't want to hinder their business. It would be nice if in the future there was another floor for additional seats.”
Gee Gee’s Cafe & Bistro / Party Spaces
“A quaint bistro hidden amongst stables, not the easiest of places to get to on foot, the driveway up is riddled with potholes and uneven if you are disabled so be careful, but there is a ramp descent after entering the cafe which is good. The cafe is really tastefully furnished, very mid-western, the breakfast was an enormous plate of food cooked extremely well. Good italian menu offerings. We will be back in the future the host was very welcoming.”
Barracuda Restaurant
“Great food and generous portions. The service is fantastic and all of the team are very friendly.”
Little Frenchies
“I enjoyed my breakfast so much! I cannot recommend this place enough!”
The Auld Shillelagh
“Decent bar, came here on the recommendation that it is the best Irish bar that isn’t in Ireland! Didn’t disappoint. Bit tight for space and the outdoor area closes kinda early and you’re just expected to find somewhere to stand in the tiny indoor area. Pints were great!”
Oz Erciyes Restaurant
“We have been coming to this restaurant regularly for the last 8 years and is a lovely place to go every time we are in London. The food is amazing and the staff is very friendly, especially the boss. The place is well decorated and the service overall is great and not expensive. We love their rice pudding.”
Café Amisha
“Uanama bellll!! Top, Top, Top!! Cafe' Amisha is the best Italian Restaurant in South-East London. All ingredients come directly from Italy, and all the chefs are Italian. All the waiters and Paola are incredibly kind and attentive. The main Chef, Leo, aka "The Maestro", is impressive. He cooks traditional recipes from Apulia and nationwide Italian food. Fregola, Pizza (ask for tuna and cipolla!) and fish are top at Amisha's cafe. At Easter time, ask for a Pastiera, a traditional Southern Italy Easter cake made. Maestro's pastiera is as good as my mum's. They also have a shop for Italian food which has really good stuff and Italian delicatessens. The owner, Francesco, is amazing. He is the most friendly and the nicest person ever. He is a natural people person, always smiling and happy. He also saved my life during the first lockdown and the food shortage. I bougth everything I needed there. He and his staff also delivered food to my place at any hour, including regular fresh fish deliveries.. He is also actively volunteering to help the NHS and the local community. A living hero, in a few words. He truly deserves a half-body statue at the nearby SPA garden.”
Augustine Kitchen
“Love this place, will definitely keep coming! Service was attentive and friendly, noise level ideal for a level of ambience without being too noisy. The food is also amazing- classic French style but done in a fresh way. All dishes were also beautifully presented. Definitely recommend this place!”
Cafe Macarong
“Lovely spot for a coffee and cake – but it’s more than a café stop. They have books for you to read! This place provides a soothing sanctuary of calm for those looking for a place of rest and reflection. And it’s just yards away from Kew station. Serves fantastic coffee. Inexpensive. We love their incredibly tasty food, such a huge array of vegetarian and vegan options. Nice friendly atmosphere. Yes go browse the shelves or your newly-purchased reads while you sip a latte and chat with the owners about their most highly-recommended books of the moment. Kew Bookshop is just opposite.”
Duncan Terrace Cafe
“Delicious English Breakfast! A bit lighter than a greasy spoon diner and just as flavorful. The gluten free toast was exceptional, and I was a big fan of the coffee. My only critique is that the eggs were slightly overcooked for my tastes; I wish I had gotten a bit of runny yolk. Still tasty! Fast, friendly service. Cute outdoor seating. Would visit again!”
Amols Vada Pav
“Missing spicy indian food than must visit this place! Authentic Indian food. I am going to visit every month at least once. Most recommend: - Misal Pav (Real Spicy) - Dahi Puri - Vada Pav - Dabeli (my favourite) - Tea”
Finch Cafe/Restaurant
“Delicious and well-priced brunch! Lovely space, service and music as well.”
The Running Mare.
“This was my favorite pub. We spent a great deal of time and money there. Good friends made, both staff and locals. Unfortunately, the manager, has no class and a bad attitude. The Runner is on suspension, for me, for 60 days. If it ever happens again, I won’t spend another £ there. Reply - I am not about to Dox anybody. We love the food, atmosphere and friendships. The absolute majority of your staff is excellent. A little bit of tact goes a long way though, as opposed to a “Shoosh”. You should indeed have a conversation with managers about how they deal with people, especially some that drop 500 quid a month. Thanks, Ollie, Very Best. Update - The Running Mare has definitely upped their game. Give credit where credit is due. This is a wonderful place where You will find kind and interesting people. The service and food is excellent. I’m glad. I could post a new review 5/5. Very Best, Ed”
Spaghetti Tree
“What a complete delight! Everything was as I expected only slightly better!! Service - perfect! Wine - very easy to drink! Food - couldn’t fault it! Coffee - the best I’d had in London! Atmosphere - complete delight! Thank you.”
The Angel Curry Centre
“Small friendly place, staff were very nice & food was delicious. Will definitely visit again when in London. Liked the idea of take your own alcohol too. Would definitely recommend.”
Cafe On The Hill
“Absolutely love the American pancakes!! They get so creative with it! Been here quite a few times and the staff are so nice ❤️”
Cafe N15
“Always great! The ham & cheese omelette is delicious with fresh salad & nice crunchy fries. Good latte's. Good value. Plus service is always quick & the staff are such lovely welcoming people!”
Daily Munch
“Good food at a decent price... been going here for years. Warm and hospitable people.”
Giggling Sausage
“Always good, nice size portion and attentive service, much better than coffee pot opposite”
Mercante Restaurant
“I love the atmosphere in the place, we came before the theatre and we where late because of the amazing service, we didn’t want to live, food was really good, I’ll recommend the potato and truffle pizza and the fried zucchini as a side with some drops of Tabasco if you like spice and for sure an entire bottle of wine.”
Irmak Restaurant
“I enjoyed a lovely lunch meal and service. Prices are great here for what you get I would say, certainly not too expensive. My Nephew ordered the Iskender Kebab, and I ordered the Chicken Beyti which came with rice and salad. We had a little more than half, and we were both full, although it was delicious, we couldn’t finish off. Service was fast, but nothing to really complain about. Initial wait time was good, the service and staff were not too pushy but did come and ask us if we needed any help from time to time.”
Olive Tree Cafe & Restaurant
“Love this cafe, second times this rounds. Found a rice dish too. Love the environment, great services from staff always smile and polite. Definitely favourite cafe on this area”
Comptoir Libanais Gloucester Road
“The restaurant had great lebanese food with authentic taste (except for the tabbouleh that was made with quinoa instead of couscous, tasted good tho, but I've never eaten that in arabic food in general) Very colourful and fun decorated restaurant and cute and nice people working there. We came back because of the food and service. So definitely a place that we recommend.”
King's Cafe
“Go regularly, love it! Great value for money, great food! Not much more you can ask for”
Costa Coffee
“Great coffee, try the toasted hot cross bun ! Looks like a nice refub with nice comfy seats and friendly staff.”
Chaiiology Southall
“Best chai shop in Southall by a country mile. We visited this gem of a chai shop on Southall Broadway on a week night. The food and tandoori chai just blew us away. We had the aloo tiki chart, the.lovely loaded chips, french toast, and halwa Puri Chana. Every item just exceeded our expectation, beautifully presented and deliciously tasty. The tandoori chai is the best desi tea we have had in the UK. There is a short wait for the food to arrive but it's worth it. We.will definitely be visiting again.”
