“We went to Sidra today with my 11 months old baby, even though it was busy lunch time service and tables were reserved for group of guests, the owner was so kind to offer us a table. The food is always so flavoursome, it definitely makes me feel so welcome! Highly recommend to everyone who lives in or visit Teddington to come to this lovely restaurant, you won’t be disappointed! :)”

“The Boathouse Design Studio is a brilliant working hub sat on the Thames in a great historic building. The owners have done a great job making it an appealing and relaxed environment, and visitors are always impressed! Not to mention the Flying Cloud Cafe outside which is perfect for a coffee and a bite to eat with nice scenery.”

“We loved Parsnips - smiley service and great coffee. The crepe menu has something for everyone - we went for a sweet and a savoury option, both were delicious and very generous in size. “While I think the initial reaction was 'another coffee shop? at least it's not an estate agent' for most people in Teddington, Local Hero being a new addition to the high street is a dream. They've played into the fact that they're a coffee shop, and not a brunch/dinner/lunch place, and the focus on great coffee pays off with consistently great coffee. (although the pastries and small bites really are great too!) Family run with two other places in SW London, there's a range of different coffees, with all your usual oat/soy/alternative milk, with LH's house roast that makes for a great espresso - one of the only places in the area you can have a magic too (think flat white, but punchier!) Add on friendly and welcoming staff, and Local Hero is a winner for anything from a morning wake up call through to meeting a friend for a chat over a great tasting coffee. They're also dog friendly, which is a huge plus!”

Well they were very fine cannoli when in so many places they can be a travesty of the real thing. But why go on about it when the real reason to go here is for a proper cup of coffee!”
