Best pho in London

“Popped in at random and found a bit of a gem. Excellent and swift service, delicious food and great value for money: we shared a starter and had 2 mains (Sichuan King Prawns with Noodles and Bun Noodle Salad) and it was less than £25. Surprisingly quiet for a Saturday evening, but I think word will spread so go soon”

“Very friendly staff, good service. My boyfriend says the pho soup is a bit light and doesn’t suit his tastes. £10.80 for a large portion isn’t bad. Overall 6/10 but may come back for the rice dishes. The pork banh mi was really tasty.”

“Great spot & great value. The Banh Mi selection is great; we had a standard pork Banh Mi and it was delicious. The beef pho and Vietnamese roles were also great in their own right. Lastly, the actual cost of the beverages on offer is amazing. I highly recommend a visit!”

“Me and my sister adore this place. It’s in-front of M&S tolworth high street. From authentic Vietnamese pho to taro bubble tea it really hits that craving. The owner is wonderful and friendly who never fails to make the experience that extra bit nicer. It’s nice to have a taste of Vietnamese cuisine that is authentic.”

“This place deserves 5 stars very easily due to the food and the fact MAZ who attended to our table was excellent! Firstly, on Friday night the place was very busy but we managed to find a table near the back door entrance. This was only annoying when smokers went into the garden to smoke, and their fumes would come in when takeaway drivers would open the door to collect their food. Please do something about this! Secondly, the customer service was excellent, Maz, particularly since they took our order and looked after us throughout our night. Thirdly, the food is well worth the price you pay! The chicken wing starter was not salty or too crispy; it was just perfect. The sauce it comes with is well worth dipping into with each bite. The mains could not be finished but were taken away. The beef and chicken Noodles were fantastic. The meat wasn't tough; it wasn't dry either. In my opinion, adding chilli sauce made the dish more to my liking. It wasn't the spice; the oil has that something. Overall, this is a place to visit and try out the Vietnamese food!”

“Best affordable and authentic Vietnamese food. A bowl of pho is only roughly £10 which is v cheap for what you get. Great service with v charismatic waiter! I come here regularly and would say it's the best food compared to its competitors on mare street. Fyi, the pho has more Northern tastes (less sweet than Southern).”

“Hidden gem just behind the sports bar. You can walk in and order or pick up take away. Friendly service. Food was ready in about 10mins. Very fresh summer spring rolls. Oxtail pho was nice. “One of the best italian restaurants in London can be found in Tooting Market (and probably even better than a lot of italian restaurants in Italy!!) The food was amazing and you can taste all the super fresh ingredients perfectly cooked! I cannot wait to visit again! Pictured: - Calabrian spicy prawns in tomato served with sourdough - my ultimate favourite dish, the sauce is amazing and prawns were cooked to perfection! - Burrata with heritage tomatoes & black truffle vinaigrette - Croquettes - wild mushroom served with salsa rossa - Pumpkin Gnocchi - Vermicelli, smoked salmon, prawns and spicy capers - Slow cooked beef shin Lasagne - Affogato - Tiramisu - by far one of the best tiramisu I have had in my life and I have been to Italy a few times!”

“Probably one of the beat Vietnamese restaurants in London. My friends and I went there after go aping in Alexandra Palace. We were the first customers to be seated at opening times at 5pm. Staff were accommodating. Food was comforting and scrumptious and served in great portions. Only took a few photos as we were all starving. Highly recommend.”

The lamb steak is a firm favourite amongst the group, but we've not had a single dish we dislike. Highly recommend the spring rolls, crispy squid, and morning glory veggies, too. “I've seen many people walk into this place mistaking it for Chinese. Mien Tay 5 is the most authentic Vietnamese restaurant I've come across in London. They don't do all street food must the ones they do almost take me back to Saigon. The phố and bún bò Huế spicy noodle soup broth is really good along with most starters. Oh and the mango salad is so yummmmm”

“We had dinner here yesterday! Absolutely loved it! Generous servings, home cooked meals and very friendly staff. We had beef brisket pho and satay chicken for main which are both very tasty, but the highlight of the night for me was the mixed starters of prawn toast, satay skewers, spring rolls and ribs - postios were very generous, everything tasty and was not oily at all unlike other shops. Will definitely come back to try the clay pot dishes and maybe the buffet too!”

“On the menu for weekend 10/11th Feb 2018: Hu Time Nam Vang - tapioca noodles in pork broth, with succulent prawns, char sui pork, pork mince garnished with spring onions coriander and Chinese chive. Really excellent a wonderful break from my usual Pho I espied Banh mi 108 about a month back walking out of the tesco opposite. It's hidden away in an an unpretentious corner with a lite lime facade and no fancy display. To be honest if you aren't looking for it toh won't know it. However something about the place is inviting and cozy, and I kind of made a mental nite to gi and explore asap. Having tried out some excellent Vietnamese meat rolls in Birmingham last year, I was looking forward to coming in and comparing. Needless to say rhe ace is exceptional. The sUmmer roles were fresh made, rolled up delicately aromatic greens, some pork and prawns. Delicioso . Follows with a steaming hot bowl if Pho, beef soup and noodles with more greens, chillies and beansprouts. The broth was light, and fresh made and delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed a great service. Will go back for more”

“Decent Vietnamese restaurant! Salt and pepper shrimp was yum, and vermicelli was spot on. Beef pho had more than enough meat with well balanced soup. The ambiance was cozy and welcoming. Our server was super sweet as well.”

“Was offered prawn crackers and water as soon as we came in. Was amazed by the variety of dishes and the waitress had a lot of patience and came to the table when we were ready to order. We ordered prawn summer rolls, prawn friend wontons, Charsiu bun, chicken hue-spicy noodle soup and Bún Cá Chiên - Deep friend battered pangasius fish served on vermicelli noodles. The starters came out super fast and the fried shrimp wontons were piping hot, the summer rolls were fresh and the charsiu bun was piping hot all the way through and flavourful. I had the chicken hue-spicy noodle, had a strong enough kick to the broth, generous with the chicken strips in the soup and was provided a small tray with the lime, sliced red chilli, bean sprouts and coriander which were all added. The whole dish mixed was full of depth and flavour and the temperature of the dish was fresh and hot. Would visit again 100%”

“Great quality, simple Vietnamese food. Nothing fancy, just the basics done very well. The place looks a bit cramped from the outside but actually there’s loads of space inside. The portion sizes are generous and the staff is friendly enough. Their card machine doesn’t work half the time so make sure to carry some cash on you when you go!”
