“The Rex is one of the best cinema experiences I have ever had. We keep going back as the atmosphere is superb and the film choices are really interesting. The bar is available even through the film and you can buy cheese and snacks which adds to a lovely visit.”

You won't be disappointed. Offers evening shows, three course dinner, dancing, £59.50 per person, lunchtime shows, three course lunch, £55 per person, matinee shows offer afternoon tea £45 per person. Coaches welcome. Well worth treating yourself to a sing-along.”

“Bf told me this is his favourite pub in England. Finally had a chance to visit this place with him and I must say, it's pretty good. Welcoming owner who immediately warm-heartedly greets you with "welcome home" (on the way out of the pub, I notice the sign at the entrance that also reads "welcome home"). Nice atmosphere and great lighting. The eclectic decor is a feast for your eyes. Staff got one of our orders wrong but that's ok, we all make mistakes sometimes. Didn't have to wait long for our actual main to arrive. Hope to visit this place again when they have the live band playing.”

“Excellent venue to see a show. More importantly, a pint of Amstel was a very reasonable £5.20 and a portion of fries £3.50. The seats aren't the comfiest and are pretty small and close together, but it's an old historic building so I'll let them off! From glancing around around the theatre, it didn't seem like any of the seats sold as restricted view online would be that bad at all.”

“A great selection of films all the time. Bargain bin prices on a Monday too! What I really like though is that the lobby area is spacious and actually great to work away, read, chat with friends, drink, be merry. They also do Pitchblack Playback where you sit in the cinema and listen to an album in the dark. I fell asleep but that’s because I was tired, slept like a log. It was funny for some reason as some crypto-lad chatted to me beforehand and then I just slipped out when it ended, like a groggy thief in the night. (There was a time when the tap in the men’s had out-of-control water pressure but that’s been fixed. A bit niche but other reviewers like to nitpick)”

“Loved our stay at the Bankside! The hotel is fun, well styled and very comfortable with a gorgeous breakfast. The highlight of our stay was the extraordinary hospitality. Especially Mariana, whose customer service was truly world class. Her “the sky’s the limit” approach to anticipating and meeting our needs resulted in a fantastic stay, including booking in room massages for us. We look forward to returning to the Bankside!”

“A small, intimate theatre specialising in Spanish plays under the railway arches. Newly refurbished in a modern European style, there is comfortable seating (actual cushions!) and a clean, crisp bar playing jazz music in the background. The rumble of the trains paying overhead adds to the intimate atmosphere, whilst the collection of trendy bars and restaurants outside ensures a lively atmosphere.”

“What a cinema! I love film and always want to see my favourite classics on the big screen. Prince Charles cinema is a cracking independent cinema with great attention to detail from the classic red velvet seats and walls to the film announcement at the beginning of your movie. Recently I saw Pulp fiction, something worth seeing on the large screen as the soundtrack fills the room. You can see many cult films here too, Tommy wiseau's The Room is definitely not something you want to miss! It's so reasonably priced, especially if you become a member and the food and drinks don't cost the earth. The cinema draws in a good audience and when full creates a fantastic environment!”

The cocktails I’ve tried have all been really good and every item I’ve tried on the menu has been delicious (but especially the house salsa, the prawns, and mozzarella garlic bread). “Very cool upholstered sitting spaces. Wish it was a tad brighter there, but we move. The selection of food and drinks was soooo good- had the carrot cake with ice cream, would so recommend. The ham and cheese was my personal favorite because of its unique taste and dip. Overall, the Sunday roast at Cora Pearl was an absolute treat and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying meal. “Going to "The Plume" is like seeing an old friend, small things change but essentially the best bits remain. Fortunate because I met an old friend there and we quaffed excellent Harveys bitter and lager, eating well off of their seasonally changing menu. They are still misguided in their football affilliation, but that aside it's a well kept, well run pub and worth a visit to recharge after a brisk walk in the park.Recent managers installed who love the pub and don't see the need to change anything. Held a wake there and food excellent with great service. a pub that deserves to succeed.”
