Mortar and Pestle Thai Restaurant
● Closed“Really loved it at Mortar + Pestle, delicious food and good value (mains are around £10-15). We enjoyed piping hot vegetable spring rolls (though an even number to share would have been better), a Tom yum prawn noodle soup, and a Thai green prawn curry. All the prawns come shelled which is great, but the curry portion was rather small and doesn’t come with rice - that is £3 extra. The staff advised this upfront as I was ordering, which was nice. We came for a quick bite to eat and a long catch-up, so didn’t try much else but the menu was extensive and I definitely want to return and order heaps more! What we did order was very flavoursome, and packed with juicy prawns and fresh vegetables.”

Supawan Thai Food
● Closed“Really authentic thai food, set in the beautiful surroundings of a day time florist, so plants and flora everywhere. The service and attention is very good, but the food really is top drawer. So tasty and very well presented, beautifully balanced dishes. We had Meiang Phuket (grilled prawns on cha-pruu leaves) which were superb, Thai Squid which was very nice, Som Tam papaya salad which was about as accurate as any ive ever had in Bangkok, and easily the best ive had in London, Gai Yang Gorlea (marinated chicken with coconut and curry) very nicer, and Beef Cheek Massaman curry - also excellent. It can get busy, so even if you book, you may have to wait a little, and it's a little pricey too (all the above (1 main & 4 small plates), 1 rice, prawn crackers and 5 small beers- £105), but it was worth both the price, and having to wait outside for 15 mins. Thoroughly recommended, I'll be going back.. when I can afford it!”

Rosa's Thai Waterloo
● Closed“We passed through for some dinner before attending an event in Leake Street. The food was absolutely divine. We had the breadcrumb prawns, which were massive and super delicious. I had the pork dish, which was cooked with crunchy, green beans and chillies, and served with rice and a fried egg on top. A really good portion - I have a big appetite, and struggled to finish it. My daughter had tofu, served with green beans, chillis and noodles, also with an egg on top. Will definitely eat here again”

Patpong Thai Restaurant
● Closed“We went on a Thursday evening restaurant was fairly busy with a nice atmosphere very buzzy local restaurant with chilled background music and nice low lighting with candles on the tables…. The mixed starter we had was exceptionally good and the wait between starter to mains was 20/25 minutes actually nice to have a chat in between and you could tell everything was cooked fresh instead of when it comes out in 5mins from the microwave in some other places we have been too. We had the salt&pepper squid the best I’ve tasted and the mossaman beef really delicious and tender the coconut rice was a large portion and the tempura cod with mild chilli and onion omg. We had so much food that we took home a doggy bag which we enjoyed again the next day. Overall a lovely local restaurant good traditional Thai food and good value we love this place.”

Poppy's Thai Eatery
● Closed“An amazing little place. The weeping tiger steak was incredible. Feels like home cooked food! Recommended by friends from Thailand for it's authenticity. All the plates are different to each other, the decor is very different to I expected and the foods amazing. Is cash only so bare that in mind.”

The Nine Simply Thai
● Closed“First time getting take out here. Went in and ordered in person and the staff were super friendly. Ordered and they showed me a cheaper way to structure my order by getting a lunch deal, which I thought was great customer service and most importantly the food was gorgeous...highly recommend this new Thai and we'll definitely be regulars.”

Season Thai
● Closed“Fantastic halal food. Only downside I'll say is that it is delivery only =( The pictures seemed to show food on plates hence why I assumed it was dining in. However upon collection, chef Kim was very accommodating and you can tell that she has a wealth of experience in cooking Thai food. Everything tasted authentic and despite the kitchen being in an industrial site, everything seemed clean and organised. Five stars for. chef Kim alone. I hope this place does very well in future! A new regular ordering at least twice a week since end of November 2021 =D”

Khanom Krok
● Closed9 Stoney Street, London SE1 9AA, United Kingdom“I've only ever tried the coconut milk pancakes (Khanom Krok) from this place and they've always been amazing - so much so that it keeps up coming back for more. I've noted that they're so popular that a lot of times that we've been there a bit later in the day, they'd have run out of them. My advice would be to get there a bit earlier into the day, so you're chances of trying them out are better. The last I went there, i.e. yesterday, there was a wait time of up to 30 mins.”
