“A very unique experience of enjoying Japanesse cuisine. The chef used to do izakaya and just recently changed his concept to kaiseki. As like a normal kaiseki once you had your dessert you can enjoy their authentic Japanesse tea ceremony. All of the food are good. Good selection of sake, you can choose a set of sake to compliment the dishes. Bear in mind it takes time, last time it took 4 hours from start to finish, and you can stay more to enjoy more sake if you want to....”

“Wonderful space arranged over three floors. It is open to the public and free to visit. The main street level area has a coffee bar and a mix of exhibits and products for sale. The first floor is a restaurant and bar. And the basement level is an exhibition space and micro library. The staff are friendly and helpful.”

I was initially going to leave a poor review about the place, given that we waited quite a long time for the food, how expensive it was, and it seemed as though they microwaved a couple of the dishes on the menu - but all these thoughts melted away as soon as I tried the food - and the wait had been completely worth it. Highly recommend their legendary Takoyaki. Quantities may come across as small, but it certainly isn't - they serve far more than most other local Japanese places. This was by far the best Japanese food I have ever tried so far, and I have visited practically every Japanese restaurant in the borough, and this ranks at the top of all of them - beating the more lavish and posh restaurants in the area by miles. I don't think any other Japanese restaurant in Ealing/Acton ranks as high as this particular one. And the staff... they were incredibly friendly, and apologised after the long wait. No wonder they're always so busy! 10/10. Only criticisms would be to perhaps stir the edamame whilst it's cooking, to prevent salt being concentrated in certain areas, and maybe lower the price of the drinks and/or offer free tap water. Increasing the portion sizes of sushi to fit the price would also be ideal, given that the sushi is the only thing that is more expensive than the expensive Japanese restaurants. But other than that, please don't change a thing!”

“My partner and I go here on a regular basis, fairly honest on a weekly basis. The staff are always next to nothing short of exceptional to us and everyone else who are lucky enough to go here. It's got the typical Japanese sombre yet comfortable atmosphere and you'll be very surprised at just how quick and delicious the food comes out. The salmon teriyaki and salmon gyoza were my favourite, the chicken ramen was also good, whereas I expected a bit more for the teriyaki chicken wings and the pork gyoza. Recommended!”

Last time I came here was 4 years ago and this time round I ordered the exact same dish - Kaisen don, and its safe to say that this place managed to keep it's high standard! Thoroughly enjoyed every single bite of it and even though it's now £15 more expensive than 4 years ago I thought it was a nice treat since I don't come here often. Service was friendly, only downside was that the waiters didn't seem to be attentive enough as we had to wait and eventually ask them to come over and take our order. Other than that we had a very enjoyable experience overall. The interior is very authentic, homely, Japanese style which made me feel like I was back in Japan. “I've only ordered off Uber Eats so far but the food is incredible. I've had two different bento boxes, the beef teriyaki and the chicken teriyaki. Both were really great. The are separate menus for Japanese and Korean dishes which makes it easy to select what you want. I ordered the prawn gyozas and king prawn bipambap all of which was fresh and delicious. I was asked if I wanted mochi and couldn't be rude. Lovely way to finish off my meal. There was no rush to leave and I did not feel awkward dining alone. Will definitely visit again.”
