Machan Kitchen, Sri Lankan Restaurant & Cocktail Bar, Croydon
“So glad to have this restaurant in South Croydon. The food is incredible with an excellent varied menu. Spicy, flavoursome and authentic! The beautiful presentation and tableware also adds to the experience. Service is great and attentive and helpful.”
Bucky’s Restaurant
“I went to this restaurant with some friends and we were here for 5 hours! I chose this restaurant out of the other west African restaurants because they do not use Crayfish and every African restaurant seems to use it. Auntie was so kind and endearing, she was very funny also! The night ended with a wonderful discussion and rather heating discussion in a good way it was nice to have the restaurant with ourselves to converse with auntie I had Nkanenskwan with emu too, red red and plantain. It was very filling and delicious, the spice kicks the throat really quickly! I do plan to come back again it was just so cosy, cultural and nice”
Himalayan Kitchen
“What a little gem we have found! Lamb momo are amazing, prawn puri was the best we’re ever had. Then there was the main. I couldn’t eat all of mine. But it was so good. Portions at perfect. And what a lovely family! We can’t wait to go back”
Noodle & Beer
“Authentic Chinese food...plenty of seats, friendly staffs, nice environment. All the noodles are equally good, although the portion can be bigger. Will come back again to try out other food. They will give a dessert for free if we can write an online review on the spot and show it to them, which is why there are so many reviews.”
El Molino Restaurant
“Brilliant service. Great atmosphere and the food was as good as I had in Malaga. Derek”
Duck Duck Pork
“Amazing place for roast meats and rice with a small selection of Chinese snacks too ❤️! I'll be back again.”
OISOI Royal Wharf
“Great authentic Cantonese food. I’m from Canton and pleasantly surprised by the quality of food, service and decor. The baked chili & chicken wing is top choice for me. But all dishes taste great!”
Nakhon Thai Eltham
“Such great food. Me and my family had a lovely evening. The staff are friendly, professional and we had excellent service. The food is all freshly prepared and delicious. Empty plates all round. The restaurant now has an alcohol licence. No more BYOB. The cocktails are luscious and definitely worth trying. I had a 'Brandy Alexander'.”
Mummy Pho Cafe
“Popped in at random and found a bit of a gem. Excellent and swift service, delicious food and great value for money: we shared a starter and had 2 mains (Sichuan King Prawns with Noodles and Bun Noodle Salad) and it was less than £25. Surprisingly quiet for a Saturday evening, but I think word will spread so go soon”
Nagina Grill & Restaurant
“Best Asian Halal Restaurant in Long bridge Road Barking. Highly Recommended families and friends”
Spice Village
“We have family over the water , and have had good curry and tikkas for 30 years, this shop is as close to them as I’ve had . . I mean it. Their Lamb curry is proper.”
COCO ASIA
“The place is lovely and the food was amazing. The staff are welcoming and Jamal took care of us. He was very helpful and respectful and we really liked him. The way the food was presented was very posh and is nothing we have had experienced before. We most definitely going to come back and we highly recommended to everyone.”
Dragons' Lounge
“Heard about the opening of this restaurant and thought we’d try it! The food came very quickly and tasted amazing we really couldn’t fault it. The decor and seating was nice and very classy. The waiters and owners were extremely welcoming and friendly. Would definitely recommend, will be coming here often!”
Monkey Temple
“We have been a customer for some time now (mostly ordering take aways). Spontaneously, we decided to give them a call to book for a table on that night to dine in and the food was even better in person than via takeaway (if that's even possible). From the starters to the main, everything was delicious. The staff is also very attentive and deserve all the praise for the success of the restaurant (Friday night and it was BUSY! No empty tables and their telephone didn't stop.) Monkey Temple is likely to be the best curry in London.”

“You’re in for a surprise! Not much to look at from the outside but you do walk into a very Kerala household decor - soft lights, woodwork and a very chilled out ambience. The food was brilliant- we ordered the beef and two types of fish curries with Kerala parottas (bread) and some steamed rice. Spiced well - not “burn your mouth off hot”. Staff are lovely - had a nice chat with us and made sure the service was top notch. Value for money but mainly a great meal served up by some great people! P.S. - too hungry to take food pictures :(”

“Stopped in for dinner without a reservation since I was on my own. It was busy and larger groups had to wait so it was great I was able to be seated quickly. It would probably be good to make a reservation. Food was fantastic and the service was quick & friendly. I'd definitely stop in again if I'm in the area.”
Curry Cartel
“Had this yesterday night. My new favourite curry in the area by a long shot, best was Anglo Spice before... Went for the Chicken Korma, massive pieces of chicken, great portion size, tasty sauce. Mint sauce colour was a vibe. If I had to be really picky, I'd say Onion Bahjii was slightly too salty, and the cardamom in the Pilau could be toned down slightly, as was a little overpowering. Having said this, would 100 percent order again. Good job Curry Cartel!”
Cafe Deccan
“Incredible food and atmosphere, will definitely come back!! Staff was super friendly! Amazing Indian food, incredible cocktails! Glad we live just around the corner!”
Imm Thai Cafe’
“Came here on a whim as I was on my way to see a show at the Playground theatre up the road and coming straight from work I hadn’t eaten. I ended up having a 3 course meal here as the food was so delicious! I had the Tom yum soup (I could have eaten a bucket of it!) the chicken wings were perfectly crispy and the green Thai curry was one of the best I’ve had in london. The cafe it’s self is lovely and has comfortable, laid back feel. The staff were lovely. It was a really unexpected treat to come across this place and I’ll definitely be back, this time with the whole family!”
i-Thai
“Absolutely delicious food, so pleased I found this place. Authentic food and lovely owners. Will be back!”
Papaya
“Great value for money Thai takeaway in Soho serving rice and noodle dishes. Portions are huge and service is always quick and friendly. It gets particularly busy at lunchtime, with a queue out the door, and the takeaway has sometimes run out of favourites such as Thai red curry if you turn up after about 1.30pm.”
Lek's Thai Food
“Eat here for lunch at least once a week. For me, best thai food around, flavoursome, beef noodle soup is definitely a favourite, beef just falls apart. If you like Thai, give this a try for sure”
27 Restaurant & Bar
“Best seafood dishes I ever tasted, This is another level restaurant where food tastes like nowhere else. The service also is amazing, a service and treatment you won't get elsewhere in London. A perfect place for romantic dinner, birthday party, or business meetings, It is worth every penny you spend.”
Dojo
“Everything about this restaurant was amazing - the interior, food, and drinks. There were a great selection of cocktails and mocktails and we were beyond happy with everything we ordered. The staff were so friendly and gave us great recommendations too. Would definitely come here again! Great place for a nice meal with friends or family.”
Dumplings & Baos
“A gem off the Clapham Common high street and underground station. This restaurant was called En Cafe earlier, if I remember correctly. Dumplings and Bao is an interesting mix of a dimsum house and a french patisserie. The food is fantastic as is the service. The owners are very friendly and the service is great. The dimsum were really good. As was the main course and rice. We had ordered a lot for the group, but we managed to polish it all off, clearly a sign that the food was very tasty. It you live around Clapham, do visit this hidden gem or order from here. It's inexpensive and the food is fresh. You will be back for more.”
YEYE'S Noodle&Dumpling
“Kindest and sweetest waitress. Easy to order and the food took so little time! So quick and delicious. Really hits the soul with comfort for this cold weather we are having. Would deffo reckoned ”

“Just finished my Singapore Style Vermicelli Noodles. Absolutely delicious. Great taste, balance of flavour and appealing colours to match. Menu looks great. The best of Chinese, Thai and Japanese, but still keeping it simple and easy to follow. Friendly service and a very clean restaurant. What more could you ask for. Well done guys, and I'll be back!”
HUNKY PANDA
“Well they delivered quickly and the food was hot when it arrived. Quality and taste was good. Will definitely consider trying them again.”
