Petersham Nurseries Café, Richmond
● Closed“Beautiful location and very well maintained nursery. The afternoon tea was excellent, we multiple teas, though the best thing was the pastries themselves - and there’s tonnes of them. The scones are to die for and are very filling. Generous portions.”

Rosa and the staff are so friendly and polite and just amazing. Caffe Mamma
● Closed“My goodness, the food here is devine! Atmosphere - cute, could be romantic if you want it to be. There is an 'Italian home' look and feel to the place, with clothes hanging above you. Unusual, but unique. My OCD just hopes dust from the clothes don't fall on the food. The type of customers we saw whilst we were there consisted of couples and families, so expect a child or two making some noise. It wasn't to the point of being disturbing. Food - scrumptious! We ordered a starter, which was prawns in a tomato sauce with bread. I could've eaten that all night, so delicious. I then ordered a pasta with basil and cod, this isn't the actual name of the meal but that's what it consisted of. It was absolutely delicious. My friend ordered the lobster, she is a chef and rated it quite high, with the only complaint being that the lobster was a tad over cooked. We also tried their best wine, not my favourite, it was a little watery. The water is bottled spring water. The chilli oil is a huge glass with a mixture of peppers in oil, felt very home made, adding to the atmosphere. Service - great. The lady serving us was good, not going above and beyond but at the same time didn't need to. She was calm and helped with any info we required. The food arrived in good time too, I'd say it took about 10-15mins to arrive. I'll definitely be returning to this lovely place. 100% recommend it.”

Refuel Bar & Restaurant
● Closed“The Refuel Bar & Restaurant is a delightful place to have a drink or meal with friends, before a show or cocktail before moving on elsewhere. We were looking for a place away from the Soho crowds and having called them within five minutes we had a table for 6. The cocktails were lovely, well presented and very tasty. The staff were respectful and excellent in service. The design of the bar and surrounding area is elegantly thought out and the imagery behind the bar is awesome. Highly recommended – a little hidden gem in Soho, close to bars, China Town and theatres.”

Newens | The Original Maids of Honour
● Closed“Very much enjoyed a Christmassy afternoon tea. Visited for the second time. Lovely decor and atmosphere, wonderful desserts. Mains are very traditional British, meaning for most people they lack spices or even salt. The staff are great and friendly, but the place is always understaffed and the poor waiters are running around to try and serve the seated guests and the counter simultaneously. Of course that results in slow service. From my experience they also often don't have some items on the menu. While improvements could be made, I would recommend visiting the place at least once for the special experience.”

Pembroke Lodge Refreshments
● ClosedRichmond TW10 5HX, United Kingdom“Nice little kiosk and seating area right near a car park in Richmond. Good to pop into for a quick coffee, snack or ice cream (depending on the weather). There is a lot of seating, so good for a rest too, if you've been walking a lot. Queues can be quite long, but that's not their fault as they deal with everything as quickly as possible.”

L'Amandine Patisserie and Coffee House
● Closed“Had frequently cycled past on our way to Richmond Park, it's too soon for a coffee stop, until today. We'd cycled around 30 miles up & down the hills of Richmond Park, on our way to completing the Festive 500, and needed a break. Could do with some bike parking nearby, but the coffees and cakes were much appreciated on a cool Boxing Day lunchtime.”
-
Cafe Pagoda
● ClosedWest Park Road, Richmond TW9 3QA, United Kingdom“Great family British Cafe serving Jacket Potatoes and fry ups at an affordable price. This isn't the place you take your girlfriend on a date. It's where you take your best buddies who want to talk about their newly renovated kitchen over a decent sized meal. Tuna Mayo Jacket under £3 is a must try.”
