And the teachers are very supportive in every aspect and they help their students a lot in understanding the concepts. Moreover they give their best to provide all the facilities a student requires from them.”

The Totteridge Academy
● Closed“I am choosing to write these reviews since I need to emphasise that this school is not what it was before United Learning came in. Where else are you going to find a headteacher that remembers everybody's names, where the year 11s are going for sixth form, and what the kids' interests are? Mr Fairbairn has drastically improved this school by simply deciding to be an active headteacher, not giving kids excuses to do nothing, and ensuring everyone is learning. External cover teachers were rare during my time there. Mr Fairbairn even covered my physics class while they attempted to find a new physics teacher for my GCSE class. I joined in year 10. During my first GCSE art class, he took the time out to come up to me, greet me, talk to me about why I chose TTA, and even asked how my brother, who had left for sixth form at the time, was. This is just Mr Fairbairn. I won't even go on about the rest of the staff with how supportive, how caring, and how professional they all are. You have teachers like Mrs Palmer who has been at the school for decades and still has an absolute love for teaching and drive to inspire. There's a misconception that the school is a hotpot for crime and where all the misbehaved kids go, but trust me, this is not tolerated by the staff and is not true in the slightest. Thank you for supporting me, TTA.”

Alphablocks Nursery School & Pre-Prep
● Closed“My son was at Alphablocks for 2.5 years and he loved it there. His days were filled with both teacher led and independent fun activities in a safe and nurturing environment. All the team were interested in his development and by the time he left, their investment in him was evident. I was also very happy with the personal care given to him from when he started there in diapers to being toilet trained when he left. One of the first things that attracted me to the Nursery was the extensive outdoor space. The children spend a lot of time outdoors in most weather playing, learning and exploring. It also helped in preparation for Reception that Alphablocks introduces the children to Phonics and Numeracy early. I also liked that the Nursery uses storybook themes in an inventive way as part of the children’s learning. I can’t recommend Alphablocks highly enough.”

Queen Elizabeth's School
● Closed“This school is really good, in recognising kids talents and pointing faults or obstacles ( many parents don't accept -ve comments sorry). Every kid is special in some form but all schools recognise what they wanted but QE boys extends it to pointing us towards their gaps, which helps your kid if you fill it, if you ignore you will face it and if you oppose/offend it becomes reason of your failure. I am sure this school definitely makes my diamond shine somewhere some day by polishing his faults.”

Oak Lodge School

-
Mount House School
● Closed“My daughter is about to start in Year 7 and so far we have nothing but positive feelings about the school. I'm posting this now since I want to start seeing the reviews get turned around so that the efforts of the school under the new Head, Mrs Richardson, can be publicly acknowledged. Clearly the school has had a ropey past as a different school with a different Head but from what I can tell, it is a new start for Mount House and the school is on the 'up'. If that's not the case, I'll update my review once my daughter has started and I can review from 'the inside'.”
