“Wow! What a place! We booked a table for 5pm and it was already pretty crowded when we arrived. The atmosphere is quite lively which can be a bit confronting and overwhelming if you have Autism or Sensory problems. The staff are extremely helpful and very friendly. The food is divine! We had a platter and it feeds 2-3 easily. The drinks are wonderful. Our favourite things were the corn dogs, the baby back ribs and the brisket. Would definitely recommend Hickorys Smokehouse! I would say that this is a special occasion restaurant rather than an everyday eat place, because the prices are a bit higher, but saying that, the quality of the food, the staff, the decor are all top quality so it's worth every penny. Can't wait to visit again!”

“I booked this restaurant to ensure I had somewhere to eat whilst visiting the zoo. After asking staff for directions I eventually found it. It is an amazing looking restaurant. Due to my dietary requirements I opted for the North Sea Haddock and Chips. I don't eat mushy peas and was offered an alternative in the form of garden peas. The fish and chips in my opinion were amazing. One of the best that I've had. Staff were super friendly. Would definitely come here again and highly recommend.”

“Called in to M&C to try the set lunch menu. Opted for 2 courses at £12.95 and chose Chorizo starter and Burger Main w/extra bacon for £1 extra. Firstly the place itself is very comfy and rather spacious with burgundy red and black decor and just very smart looking. The staff were all nice n friendly and dressed in black with long black waiters aprons on. So far so good. Tbh, as it was the lunch menu, I wasn't expecting much, but my starter arrived and it was fantastic! Not heavy or greasy, but just right. Then the main which for me was a burger and it was very tasty and filling (I usually have to order extras to satisfy my bottomless pit!). My friend ordered fish n chips and like I say, you'd usually expect a small portion from a lunch menu, but it was huge! Will most definitely be calling in again for a lunchtime treat!”

“Can’t fault these guys they were brilliant, having recently been in hospital I was on bed rest and my mobility was extremely limited, these guys went above and beyond to help me,they even rang me when the delivery driver left with my order and gave me a good idea of when he would arrive so I was ready to answer the door,the driver was extremely helpful and seemed,genuinely , concerned for my health,kept offering any help I may have needed, I will only use paradise for my orders in future because they obviously care for their customers,thank you paradise I was extremely pleased with your service xxx”

“This is my goto takeaway for pizza and kebabs. Great quality food, the staff are very friendly and happy to make conversation while you wait. The building itself is very clean. Delivery orders have never been late, always within the 40 - 50 minutes they say. The price of the food for what you get is much better than that of the bigger chains. Strongly recommend.”

“One of my favouritest go to places in Chester! Overlooking the river Dee and the meadows, it’s one of THE best dining experience with view you could find! During the summer times with three tiers of outdoor seating, you get to see one of the most picturesque sunsets in Cheshire. During winter, the fairy lights and the warm ambiance, makes it a great place for parties and celebrations! The food is mouth-wateringly delicious! The service is impeccable as always. Hard to find a fault tbh. Will keep going until the council decides it’s better to keep the place as it is. It’s a gem honestly and I can’t imagine Chester without Et Alia!”

“This was the second visit to The Yard for my husband and I, having truly enjoyed the first. We invited a couple of friends to have dinner with us so we could catch up, having not seen each other for over 20 years. At the time of booking, I had requested a relatively quiet table so that we could chat comfortably. When Aimee, the delightful General Manager, greeted us on arrival, we were impressed that she had considered my request and seated us in a pleasant, quiet booth. It was a superb evening again! The service, food and ambiance were all excellent. You can sense that the team at The Yard are all passionate about offering a great dining experience. Of course, it was a real treat to try more of Carl the Head Chef’s dishes, especially when we explained to our friends that he had worked with Gordon Ramsay in his 2 Michelin Star restaurant. Furthermore, there is nothing pretentious about The Yard. It’s great food at great prices!”

“The best Italian restaurant I know . Always go back. This was our first time in Piccolino Chester and was not disappointed. Met our expectations. We went on Saturday night for food and drinks, pasta + pizza were the best I've had. Staff was very nice and we're making a nice atmosphere so everyone enjoyed , we had so much laughter it was definitely a great start of Saturday night. Went back Sunday for lunch and couldn't leave it was so lovely , everyone smiling making sure you leave the place satisfied. Portions were huge , well seasoned. Already planning to go back.”

My only comment would be the food menu could be a bit better but what we had was really nice , just make sure if you have the skewers all the sauce drops down as I didn't notice till I'd ate mine there was a blockage , bit annoying cus the sauce was really nice but really nice place , very attentive staff”

“Chester was an amazing day out, I enjoyed my nature walk and found this place as a halal restaurant. The lamb shoulder with rice and the chicken was cooked really well. The meat slipped off the bone effortlessly, very tender and soft it was absolutely delicious. Simple but cooked with perfection. The customer service was also very pleasant and respectful. “What a great find, situated at the top of Watergate street Chester, my daughter and I were lucky enough to find a table on a busy lunchtime. The menu is small but varied, and is great value, I opted for the double stack burger, this was served in a delicious soft brioche bun, with baby gem lettuce and fresh tomato, and a portion of Cajun fries, my daughter opted for the pulled pork and rice, I can honestly say it was the best pulled pork I’ve ever tasted, like butter it just melted in the mouth, A great atmosphere was provided with just the background music and the gentle buzz of appreciation when other diners were tucking in. Definitely da go to place to eat for us”
