“Full disclosure: My family and I are American. We don’t know much about Fish and Chips, but after an 11 hour overnight travel day with no sleep, we were very hungry, and very thirsty. We walked up the street from our Airbnb and found Kim’s Anfield Supper Bar and the Fish and Chips were outstanding!! We absolutely loved our meals and are glad we found Kim’s on our first day in town so we can come back and explore more of the menu this week! She even delivered to the Arkles pub so we could wash it down with some tasty pints!”

“Edit 31/01/23. I was invited back by the owner to give Fourways another try. I've left my original review down below for reference. On this second visit, standards were super high. Not only was the food delicious, the quantity was substantial and it was cooked quickly. Service this time was with a smile and a chat too, which added a friendly personal touch. We were welcomed in and weren't rushed. A really nice experience and I'm already looking forward to my next visit. Actions have clearly been taken to improve the experience and these haven't gone unnoticed. While not directly related to Fourways, the conveniences on site have been revamped recently too and are tenfold better than they were previously. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wish I could give 5 stars. I have visited a number of times and never had an issue. Always good food and served pretty fast. Today we visited and found a lady on the till who made us feel like our patronage was an inconvenience. We were told to sit on the bar stools next to the door because we were “only” having tea and a biscuit. We had to remind her that we asked for a flap jack too since she claims she never heard it but did hear the request for 2 teas immediately before it and the shortbread immediately afterwards. Cafe wasn’t full by any stretch but the fella being served behind us was told in no uncertain terms that he would be asked to leave if the place filled up. Clearly, customer service was not prioritised or appreciated during this visit and it really has put a real downer on visiting again. The rest of the staff are great and always polite. Shame one of them spoils it for the rest. Tea was nice and the flapjack wasn’t bad either. Would recommend to anyone as long as they don’t have the bad luck to be served by this individual.”

“I recently had my birthday party at The Bar Next Door. The venue was absolutely perfect. The owners and staff could not have been more helpful and were full of good ideas. It was a brilliant atmosphere and I wouldn’t hesitate at celebrating there again. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon and evening!!!”

“A wide selection of TRADITIONAL and Asian food. Always busy, but they have plenty of staff to cope. They do takeaway and delivery to local areas. We use this place a lot and have always found something to suit everyone in the family, be it piazza, kebabs, Chinese or fish and chips.”

“Apart from the amazing food, nothing was too much for the staff to do for us. John the head chef went above and beyond to cater for our needs, including arranging a surprise cake for our guests. The staff in the restaurant were kind, friendly and again catered to our every need. I would recommend the stables bar and grill to anyone wanting great food and excellent service.”

“Lovely visit. Most hard working friendly staff. Managed a group of 12 without fuss and a full to the brim restaraunt. Nothing too much trouble and food hot fresh and came out in good time. We got the hot mezze and a ceaser salad. Bread is out of this world. Would deffo recommend.”
