“As a Muslim revert this is by far the best place I have found in York to get halal meat when I am back home visiting my parents. In addition they also have all sorts of other foods and ingredients you’re not going to find in Tesco. Top notch super market, highly recommended”

“Magnificent, the finest Supermarche in York. Friendly helpful staff that are like members of the family. The lack of cafe and deli is compensated by their vast condiment selection. Sadly the baby change is too small for a pram to fit in :-(”

“Hello. I visited the Acomb store this afternoon with my brother who is in a wheelchair. Th till assistant helped me outside with the shopping and waited with my brother whilst I went for the car. The security guard then helped by folding and loading the wheelchair. We are new to managing a wheelchair and the help was so god to have, particularly with the heat of the day. Thank you so much for your kindness.”

“Great supermarket, lots of choice of products. They have a fish counter, hot counter and salad bar which is great for lunch visits. I come here often and you can always find what you need for a good price, the staff are really friendly too. The £3 meal deal includes a medium sized salad from the salad bar which is really good value.”

“Firstly visted the cafe just for a coffee and muffin. Really friendly staff. Served quickly and all tables promptly cleared and cleaned. Supermarket is fully stocked and well laid out. Plenty of room in aisles. Good value for money, exact same shop for exactly the dame products at another supermarket turned out £30 cheaper at Tesco. Needless to say I am moving to Tesco for my weekly shop now! Till staff friendly, chatty and make you feel welcomed.”
