“This fabulous pet shop has absolutely everything you could need. From furry pets to exotic ones you can buy all your feed and supplies here. Lots of live pets to purchase too including rabbits, snails, fish and lizards. We purchased a snail here for my daughters birthday and they kept him there for us a couple of weeks until it was time to give him to her. Really friendly and knowledgeable staff, that are happy to help.”

“I can't praise the groomer who took care of my labrador Stan today enough! It was very clear she loved dogs so I felt ok leaving him in her care. This is the 3rd groom room I have used. The first in Barnsley did a good job but the last one I took him to at Birstall was awful. He came out worse than he went in and clearly distressed! This is the first one where his nails were cut as part of the full groom, which was amazing! His undercoat has all been brushed out really well and he smelt lovely. I'm so glad I bought him here. He will be back!! Thank you so much. I wish I had got the name of the girl who was working to name her personally. Great service and a happy owner and dog!”

“I would highly recommend Elite Small Pet Retreat for anyone needing boarding services for their small pet. We booked our holiday and realised that we didn't have anyone to look after our dwarf hamster, we contacted them and were able to book him in for the time we needed, she was very polite and helpful. I will definitely be using them again!”

My Frenchie is very anxious when getting his nails trimmed and normally the results on other groom rooms haven’t been great but, we went last week as walk in and the lady with pink hair was an absolute star! She handled Pablo really well, trimmed his nails very neatly so, we would definitely recommend it and will be making this our permanent place.”

We entered on a cold wet afternoon (12th Feb) concerned about the best way to help our Rescue Milo walk safely, and left with a different Dog. Probably the best retail experience for sometime. “I came here with my old dog a bit worried that she would not tolerate the grooming. She really needed a wash and her hair had so much matting! When I picked her up she was so happy and so incredibly soft! I will be coming back next time she needs a bath for sure!”

Having know her for a long time and seen the amount of love and care she puts into grooming my baby I am more than happy to leave my him in her talented safe hands. “I have had Jane as my groomer for over 8 years now and I've never been disappointed. Not only is she lovely to talk to, she is great with both of my cockapoos too. One is 14 and requires a little extra care in his old age, and the other is 4 and rarely keeps still. They always come back happy and looking immaculate. Jane is patient and diligent and has great knowledge, raising any concerns and dealing with minor ones with a minimum of fuss.”

“Extremely well stocked local pet store - there's not much that you can't get here! Very reasonably priced and you can get your goods delivered direct to your door if needs be. If you need any advice/help Bev and Jonathan are more than happy to help. You can now also get your dogs booked in for teeth cleaning sessions - had my 2 pooches done yesterday. The dogs love all the cuddles they get, and the odd treat too!! Definitely recommended and well worth a visit.”
