Pancheros Mexican Grill - Altoona

"Edit: 3/26/24: tonight a manager was on site and all food was stocked and no one was standing around, service was as it should be. Feels good the customers were heard. Upping my rating from 1-3. The local guides must get paid for their reviews or something. You could write a book on how to not run a business by going to this location. Tons of workers, slowest service ever most just stand around, they take care of 10 order outs while your standing there waiting at the glass. Then to top it off they are out of the same food over and over, always out of black beans and sour cream. Last time I was there they didn’t even have foil wraps to wrap the burritos in. 2 times ago they were out of actual burritos dough. It’s mind blowing stuff."

"Food was not fresh. Service was good. The food line is messy, restaurant is dusty/dirty, pop area was filthy. If the front is like this I'm wondering what the back kitchen looks like. Yuck. Probably won't visit again anytime soon. Would be nice for this company to stop apologizing on their reviews and DO SOMETHING!"

"By far the worst Pancheros I have ever been to. Horrifically slow, bad service, burrito sitting on the line for 5 minutes just waiting to be wrapped. The lines an absolute disaster. Always out of something. I hate writing this because I love Pancheros burritos but I miss the Urbandale location by where I used to live because the location in Altoona is awful. And this is coming from someone who has never written a bad review in my life."

"I came in around noon for lunch and the place was disgusting Tables were not clean the line looked a disaster, the trash was full, and the beans were dry I ordered a steak quesadilla and the manager in charge took my food put it on the bare table and attempted to cut my food the gentleman at the register gasped at the manager and the person at roll thank god suggested the manger make a new one the manger then looked at me and asked what was wrong when i told them I didn’t like the way they put my food on the table they yelled at me that it was a sanitary place I told them again to remake my food as a previous employee if Pancheros and black shirt I know that the condition of the place and the way the manger was talking to people was not okay the condition of line was definitely not acceptable and the fact that the manger was giving away free food and drink to friends but not someone that had a problem about the sanitation of the place is unbelievable i applaud all of the other staff for being able to work with a manager like that"

"This is consistently the slowest Pancheros location I’ve ever visited. Food ends up just fine but no matter what time of day or what day of the week you come here, expect to wait. The workers are perfectly polite but it’s astounding how slowly they work, with no sense of urgency whatsoever. Fast food restaurants come with an expectation of speed—not standing in line for 20+ minutes."
