Benton House
Located at 312 South Downey Avenue in Indianapolis, Indiana, the Benton House is a stunning tourist attraction with a rich history dating back 150 years. Built in 1873 in the Second Empire style of architecture, this ten-room brick house was once the home of Allen R. Benton, former president of Butler University in Irvington. The Benton House was purchased and restored by the Irvington Historic Landmarks Foundation in 1966, and has since been maintained and made available to the public by the Benton House Association.
