Fort Harrison State Park
β OpenFort Harrison State Park is a popular tourist attraction located at 6000 North Post Road in Indianapolis, Indiana, United States. This 1,700-acre park offers a variety of outdoor activities for visitors to enjoy throughout the year. In the winter, guests can experience one of the biggest sledding hills in the area, while spring brings vibrant woodland wildflowers in bloom. Summer is perfect for a canoe trip down Fall Creek, and autumn showcases warm days and stunning fall colors. The park features walking and jogging trails, picnic sites, fishing access to Fall Creek, and two national historic districts. The former Citizen's Military Training Camp, known as Camp Glenn, is preserved around the park office. Visitors can explore the landscape and history of Fort Harrison, the last forested corner in Marion County.
