Theatre Northwest, located at 3400 Broadway in Gary, Indiana, is a vibrant hub of artistic expression and community engagement within Indiana University Northwest. As the performance company of the Department of Performing Arts, Theatre Northwest offers a diverse season of plays, concerts, dance performances, and other events. Students have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of theatre production, from acting to costume construction to lighting design, and can earn academic credit for their practical work. The Main Stage Theatre, a modern 500-seat auditorium, and the Black Box Studio, a more intimate 100-seat venue, provide versatile spaces for performances.
