The Main Stage Theatre, a modern 500-seat auditorium, and the Black Box Studio, a more intimate 100-seat venue, provide versatile spaces for performances. Arts On Broadway, a community-driven initiative, also offers opportunities for external productions that are not affiliated with the Performing Arts Department.
Reservations are strongly recommended for Theatre Northwest productions, with no payment required to secure a seat. Cash or check payments are accepted at the door, with reservations held up to 3 minutes before the start of the performance. "Theatre Northwest is now in the new "Arts and Sciences Building" east of Broadway across from campus. Parking is off of 35th Ave. and north on Massachusetts St. (Free parking evenings and weekends, $2 all day other times, pay at kiosk in the lot.) The building entrance is at the south end but the theater is at the north end. This is a gorgeous new, high-tech, building that opened in 2017. It was built with federal disaster funds after the area-wide flooding earlier in the decade. The building has two different theaters, the "Main Stage Theatre" and the "Black Box Studio". Both are state-of-the-art and fantastic for watching performances!!! If you see something you like, don't hesitate. GO! You'll LOVE it!"
